Our defense is good for these last few possessions but the Raptors are just hitting shots unfortunately... but these are hard, contested shots.

We're seriously not that bad at the moment. Stop telling me any different. Our D will pick up. They're shooting just as insane as we are, we're just getting better looks. We're getting high percentage shots, they're making low(er) percentage ones.

This so hard!

There've been a couple lapses where they're getting easily to the basket/shooting wide open shots, but I'm tempted to go back during halftime and see just how many wide-open shots they're REALLY getting. people here seem to think it's every [dang] possession.

What is going on with the Bobcats? ESPN tells me they have a 15 point lead on the Cavs. Granted it remains to be seen if they can win the game but it's still impressive after crushing the Raps on Wednesday.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

I'm starting to wonder if the Celtics plan on playing any defense tonight at all.  I mean, just let me know.

Its Fri-ay, no D in Fri-ay.

What has our Friday night record been this year.  Something like 1-3? (please correct if needed)

Its not like these guys are looking forward to the weekend - they work weekends.

I don't think their shooters are challenged by our porous D
that's why they shoot a high percentage

Guys that's exactly the point --- for some reason this team can no longer play great defense except in small spurts.  All the rest they have had recently, the extra practice time, watching film, playing at home none of it makes a difference.

Whatever happened to this team since the first 8 games of the year is anyone's guess but it's painfully obvious that the C's aren't just waiting to turn up the defense.  They just can't do it...

Good thing Calderon has a hamstring problem or he would probably have blown by Rondo 5 tgimes for uncontested layups in the firat half so far insterad of only 2.

This team built it's identity as not a good but DOMINANT defensive team.  Did you all forget already how Doc and the guys talked about this year cementing their legacy as one of the best defensive teams EVER???

The will is there this team just isn't able to perform at that level anymore.  The so called dominant defensive team gave up 110 to Philly and is on pace to give up 100 again tonight at HOME and after a day off.  There just aren't anymore excuses...
