Is anyone even remotely surprised at this "news"? Whatever you feel about him, the guy is an ultimate competitor, and he's not about to lay down and play dead.

It's too bad his arrogance won't allow him to realize his game is no where near what it used to be.

Too bad he doesn't realize that one man teams don't win anything.

I don't want it but i'm actually starting to think about it. Marbury was over passing, and he was afraid to shoot.... Iverson won't have that problem.

The exact opposite would happen though...

No.

I just think the larger majority of fans that have had this argument of whether AI should join the Celtics are sick and tired of having this long drawn out argument with a very small amount of AI fans for about the 10th time in the last two weeks when these same AI fans can't seem to admit or come to grips with what we, the AI detractors and just about every single decision maker on every NBA team, already know. Which is, Iverson is a selfish, cancerous, divisive, awful fit for any team.

The Cs could use his offense...remains to be seen if he can play any d.

As I said before, as long as he stays in front of his man, he's got an upside over Rondo on D.

Offense/Minutes issue. You make him run the point. Eddie goes back to shooting 3s, and Quis stays a slasher. I think Daniels' PG abilities are over rated as he seems like Pierce; back em down, hit a J in the paint.
AI runs the offense, passes to open shooters and post men, then looks for his shot when our team is in a slump. Also, I think fewer minutes will help AI's game b/c it keeps his legs fresh to do more crossovers, drives to the hole, and midrange shots.
Can't stop, Rondo!

Your hating on Rondo, he's not that bad of a defender. He's an all-defensive PG who has been a little off (when everybody else has too)

If the players including Rasheed would accept AI, then we need to look into this. It would include AI's acceptance of his backup role, team concept, etc.

If everyone is on-board, sign him before he goes to the Lakers.

Sign him and see how it goes. If it's positive, great. If not, cut him. Either way you will know before the trade deadline so the appropriate deal can be made (keep AI and improve another part of the roster or trade for a PG).

My 2 cents...  8)

heck, iverson already looks unhappy most of the time, so he would fit right in.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
