Paul Pierce won this game, just like every other close one, great game. Rajon did great as well, but a little bit disappointing on D. Move on guys

Please stop with the Rajon did great stuff. He had an okay game. Great? please. At least he was 50 percent from the line today and has now improved to a scintillating 8-24 or 33 percent for the season!

Of all the things he did today (14pts, 10 assists, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, only 2 TO's - Ray had 2 alone in a 10 second stretch), why focus on the negative?

And his man was the second leading scorer for the Knicks in limited minutes. Don't forget that fact.

KG's limp looked new to me. It happened after he went up for an alley oop that msised and them came down hard on his right leg. I honestly am worried by what I saw.

yea, the limp didn't look good. Hopefully, its just a tweaked ankle or some shin splints (he did play a few more minutes today than usual) and not "the knee"

I am pretty sure this is the aftermath of him banging knees with someone (Matt Barnes?) in the Orlando game. Unfortunately, it was the surgically repaired knee that was involved.

Yeh! Let's hope it's a new injury! That'd be way better :P

;)

No seriously, I just want KG to sit out the next 20 odd games >_<

a tweaked ankle or shin splints aren't serious injuries at all, as opposed to "the knee" which has seemed to become mythical in its mystery.

For...

... sigh -

why, the bleeping bleep, can't people see that KG has not been close to 80%. His knee, has been weak. It has been wobbly. And he's playing NBA type basketball on it. With his intensity, that's a lot to do on a recently repaired knee. After everything I've seen this season, I still draw the same conclusion I drew back when we started the season: KG is not alright.

.edit: my point being: his knee is kaput and if what we saw tonight was something else, that means he has something new, and the less-than-solid knee.

Yes, just like I said, great game but disappointing defense.

I think Rondo got striped for one rebound witch would make the trp-dbl. It was that play when he caught the ball, than in mid air threw it of Dunoh and the refs called it Knicks ball.

I thought Rondo was fantastic defensively.  Robinson was complete non-factor late in the game, and the Knicks deliberately avoided screen-roll's with Rondo's man.

I also thought Rondo was appropriately aggressive.  His pull-up FT throw J is the shot he has to be willing to take in crunch-time.

Pierce gets the game ball though.  As crappy as some of the possessions he used were, he remains the Celtics' most versatile player and delivered when it counted.  His block was tremendous.

As for all, the we're horrible chatter, I liked this game.  The Knicks played hard, played very energetic defense and found and exploited mismatches all night.  The C's matched their intensity for the endgame and pulled out a dogfight.

Yes it would be nice if we didn't fall asleep after getting up 10, but that's what makes players like Nate Robinson and Al Harrington so dangerous.  They come in during lulls in the game and explode offensively.  After Eddie House's opening salvo, we had nothing off the bench to match them.  Sheed and House started bricking their looks and Scal was far too tentative to have an impact.  Games like this are when the C's miss Baby (and Leon Powe) the most.

Kiorrik,

I'm not denying something could be wrong with "the knee". My point was that its such a mysterious injury - so who knows what could be wrong with KG. Management has never been 100% forthcoming about "the knee", so idk what to make of it anymore and have decided not rack my brain about what's going on with it.

On the post game show they were saying that KG does have a hobble and expect to see it all year.  That Doc mentioned this from seeing him in practice as well.
