Oh and give me a break albas89... Like no team that has ever won the championship has had a bad stretch during the regular season.

I have already said...
Quote
we have to recognize when the losses are a matter of bad luck or sloppiness and when they are outcome of playing anti-basketball

all the bad stretches are not the same, like all losses are not the same... I can see that this team doesn't have the correct orientation of playing basketball on both ends, like the Suns had wrong orientation 2-3 years ago despite playing attractive basketball, can you see my point now...??
"Life has so many hurdles. Some of them I've hopped over, some of them I've tripped over. The key is to get back up and finish the race."- Paul Pierce

And he did finish...

Here is what I know (and no, I am not ready to give up on the year yet):

The starters are simply not getting it done. Coming out slow almost every game and tonight was the worst.

Rondo is lost on the court and he simply does not want to play defense.

The Celtics are 9-4 this year and have beaten ONE good team. And fortunately that was the first game of the year, because if they played Cleveland right now, it would probably be a different result.

I don't get the Ray Allen criticism. He probably was the best offensive player for the Celtics tonight.

Finally, I am worried, because I am seeing some of the old stuff creep in. Like in the third quarter, I don't know how many times it was Pierce pounding the ball for 10-15 seconds and then driving to the lane and hoping to get fouled or make a shot -- all the while everyone else stood and watched.

I have not given up, but I would say the odds are very long for this team this year. Andf someone please get inside Rondo's head and find out what is wrong in there.

This is not something that can be fixed by April. It will only be worse in April.  KG, Allen, Pierce and Wallace look like they are playing in slow motion.  Age has caught up with them.

It's over.  Time to rebuild.  Oh, they'll win 50 games because there are alot of bad teams in the league.  But they won't make it out of the 2nd round of the playoffs.

I would say give it another 4-6 weeks and if things have not significantly turned for the better, Danny has got to start thinking about getting some young legs in here.

In a related note, I'm giving up on next year's Red Sox team right now.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Winning is contageous and some cities like Boston need to have its medicine all the time. If we don't win it all this year i predict things will get ugly. Ray Allen will be gone like he never existed as a celtic by the end of the season and paul pierce will get traded a la ray allen for a 5th round pick while kg slowly becomes the highest payed role player that doesn't stop cursing.

All kidding aside i can see drastic changes if we repeat last years outcome. It's hard to watch this style of basketball played night in and night out so far. Too much "smart" and "efficient" and not enough "offensive putbacks"

You heard it here first.

This team does not have what it takes.

Ray Allen's career is over.  He'll be a nice 6th or 7th man going forward, but his days as a front line player are over.  Pierce isn't far behind.

Deny it all you  want. Ive seen enough.  It's time to rebuild.

Time for you and looks like lots of people around here to eat crow! LOL @ this poster, he should be banned for this nonsense!

Guess what? Ray's not going anywhere and just hit a clutch dagger tonight to seal and keep our win streak sailing!

You want to disagree with a poster fine. We've all disagreed with the brick before.

But don't say a guy with a long history here should be banned. I bet we find some nonsense too if we look over every single one of your posts.

Lol. I hope no one ever tries to dig up my thoughts from the past on Patrick O'Bryant.

Mine is sebastian telfair and Rondo. I didn't pick the winning horse there by a long shot. I'm a sucker for hype and good story.

I'll stand by my prediction.  Hope I'm wrong, but let's see them beat some good teams.

San Antonio on the Road is not a good win?
