I'm not pushing the panic button.  I'm reaching for the anti-nausea pills.  I just turned last night's game off and watched a movie.

This team is playing with no passion whatsoever, no intensity.  They're going through the motions. Time will tell if age is slowing them down and the window has permanently closed.

I'm not concerned about their record.  I'm concerned with the absence of good basketball.  How can other teams be taking jump shots with no Celtics within 15 feet?  They're just standing around.

And what's with Rondo?  Now that he has his big money deal, he looks like he'd rather be roller skating.  He didn't even try to keep Earl Watson in front of him.

Great point. Our $55 million dollar man was outplayed by career backup Earl Watson. Just should not happen.

How about an "Everybody DON'T panic" thread? Sorry, but I just don't see it ... every team, including the Celts, has these periods every year, whether it's a let-down, or a lack of focus, or a lull in concentration, or a failure to execute properly. I saw it last year and every year before that, and it's a normal occurrence, unfortunately, and obviously one that needs to be limted as much as possible.

Personally, I'm glad they get it over with early on, (along with the rough schedule they started with), and have a little wake-up call that this season's not going to be quite as easy as they or many others assumed. These periods are actually good to a certain extent, because it forces the team to re-focus their energies and get back on track. I'm just not worried ... they'll be looking like themselves again soon.

I don't want to assume anything, but I always worried he would be less coachable once he got a big contract. Hopefully I was wrong.
