Like almost every other Celtic fan - I suppose - Eddie House is one of my favorite players because of his hustle, energy, and his terrific 3 point shooting.

However, he has struggled for the 5 past games and I'm wondering why. Since Marquis is playing the "point guard" with the second unit (or Ray), Eddie is freed and can look for catch & shoot more often, so he shoulde be more efficient. I noticed he didn't get nice looks recently but still, here are his cumulated stats since the game against Minnesota :

2/10 from three, 5/18 from mid range and 5 turnovers.

I'm not blaming Eddie for our losses but I sure feel like his lack of contribution - and his liability on D, like against Crawford last night, but mostly due to the size difference - is hurting the production of our 2nd unit. Also, what intrigues me the most is that Eddie seems to lack his usual hustle and energy. He doesn't look confident at all out there.

I think it may have something to do with Rasheed Wallace. There are only so many shots that can go around. Moreover, we have to remember that Eddie was plain ridiculous last year. I think it is a little unrealistic to expect another season like that from him. So, in my opinion, I'm chalking up Eddie's play of late to playing with Rasheed (who needs to get touches) and just falling into a natural slump. I expect Eddie to turn things around soon. Not too worried.

I guess Rasheed could have something to do with it, but Eddie was productive when Big Baby was taking all of those mid-range jumpers last year. Shooters get hot and they get cold. I would assume his lack of production is just temporary. He has always been pretty unconscious, so he should just keep shooting and hopefully he'll break out of his mini-slump.

He's a natural shooter.  Shooters can be very streaky.  He's just in one of those slumps right now.  We've seen it with Ray a few times over the past couple of seasons.

Eddie will shoot himself out of it and get back on track.  That's the nature of being a shooter.

i respect eddie, but have not been his biggest fan....mainly bc im not a fan of players that are one trick ponies.  i would much rather have a players like marquis who isnt great at any one thing, but is good at multiple things.

i think eddie has been taking bad shots.  he is best utilized catching and shooting.  thus far this season he has been trying to shoot off the dribble, which he has never been very good at.  yes he has a quick release, but he looks like he is rushing his shots.
