Games like this tell you a lot more about where your team stands than a 30 point blowout over some crap team.  When your team looks old and slow on its home court, that to me is an alarming sign.  KG has an excuse and so does Pierce because he was obviously hurting.

Sheed on the other hand is looking like a major mistake - though granted, it's still very early.  To me he looks either done or out of shape, depending on whether you're an optimist or a pessimist.

They also miss the energy of Leon & Baby.

Doc's got a lot of work to do.

If the calls were even from 10:00 to 3:30 you don't make those statements.

I'm tired of having a point guard that can't shoot from 10 ft away they've let off him ALL night daring him to shoot it. Every $ worth of your 10+ million point guard.

Wait till the playoffs. Will have a ton game 7's because Rondo can't shoot anything.

Idk if your serious or not  :(, but i'm not a RR fan and i'm really tired of his flaws. On this blog it's worthless to argue since people seem completely oblivious to his very apparent flaws, flaws that put more pressure on our 30+ yr old vets.

His overconfidence and inability to shoot got old 2 years back. If we can't mesh youth into our line ups to fight against young teams we aren't going to the finals.

Would rather the C's had Mike Bibby for 15 million a year?

When you get that many calls in a row against you what do you want the players to do? How do you expect them to play?      Stop using stats, and what you think is how the players played as an excuse for a string of calls like that.  Think about if the calls were even, then how do the stats look?  Alot better than they do now in the box score.
Lack of defensive effort and lack of rebounding effort loss this game, not the refs.

Let me ask you a question.  Suppose it is the NFL and there is one play left.   As time expires, say the Saints are down 21-17.   On the last play, Brees throws what looks to be a touchdown.  It goes to review.    If the Saints get the call they win the game, if they don't get the call they lose the game.  Now explain to me how the refs don't decide who wins that game.

Pathetic.  Standing around watching the other team rebound won't win too many games.  Garnett, Wallace and Pierce couldn't be bothered to make any effort on the glass.

"Lack of defensive effort and lack of rebounding effort loss this game, not the refs."

And do you think the calls that blatanly favored the Hawks gave them extra rebounds and extra points? The answer is yes.

Give the Hawks a little credit, they've earned it.  This is a better, smoother team than I remember.  And there is a lot more obvious confidence there too.  They did what they needed to do.

I agree.
The Hawks became a pretty good team over the last two years.

People say they are young, but their core is together for 3-5 years now, so they have experience as a team.

Agreed.

Ball didn't drop and lack of RB against a team that is known for RBs...

Gonna lose some and this is one of those...

In a series I'd still like our chances to win it; But they are a tough team that is jellin...

Please -- give it a rest on the calls. The Celtics were beaten badly tonight. End of story.

Why can't it be a combination of all 3?

I'm not sure KG has an excuse anymore. He should be pretty much where he's going to be. This is the problem with having only one player to offensive rebound. This team is living and dying by the 3. Tonight it died a horrible slow death.

Just one game.
But if you live by the Three….etc. And some bad calls. And the Hawks played there guts out. The Hawks got away with a lot but made the shots. We are still a work in progress. The Next game we will wax somebody. I think we will be up and down the whole 1st half of the year.

The Refs did there part. But we lost it. Really the Hawks won it.

Its not the end of the story because you just accept what the refs say.   NEWSFLASH:  Referees, officials and umpires are not law enforcment.  These calls don't go to the Supreme Court.    Just because a ref says this or says that, it doesn't mean they are right.  And it doesn't mean you can't argue against them either.    The way some of you act with refs, you act like they are law enforcement and whatever they say goes.  This is a sports game, stand up for what you believe in and realize exactly how refs cheat in certain games.   12 calls in a row in the 4th will do that to you.  I would say that 8 of those 12 calls were way off.

Bibby, since they wouldn't lay off Bibby 10 ft to go double team 1 of the big 3 making it harder for us to score.
It's not the only reason we lost, but it's a thing that's bothering me for 2 years now with rondo.

How many times does he go in, get under the basket, then kick it out instead of laying it in for an easy 2? or passing to ray/kg/pp and having THEM finish the play for his 9.2 apg. His stats are quite misleading.
True Celtic = Leon Powe

Bring back the show!!!!

Exactly and out of the 3 which one do you think is most important?   Less than stellar defense, less than stellar rebounding or the refs?   Do a 720 and slam it in somebody's face for the greatest dunk ever, then watch the points come off the board as the refs make up a bogus call against you.
