I'd take Gasol in a heartbeat.

Gasol, and it is not even close.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

Gasol is simply a better player, so him.

I'd rather have Glen Davis, because he is a more of a scorer. His rebounding needs work, but that will come in time.

We already have Perk, and Shelden is doing a fine job backing him up.

I can see why some would chose Marc Gasol, though. He is a physical low post presence and appears to be coming into his own, though.

Which leads me to believe that maybe I was beating up the Lakers too much for my perceived one-sided trade to get Pau Gasol. It has taken some time, but Marc is developing into a solid starting center.

But still I would take Glen Davis.

This isn't even a question, Gasol.

I disagree that BBD is more of a scorer.  Comparing Gasol's current stats to BBD's stats from last year, Gasol is scoring more points, scoring at a higher rate per minute, and shooting a higher percentage.  He's also a better free throw shooter, at least thus far.  Thus far, they've been about equal shooting jum shots, although BBD shoots jumpers more.

Agreed -- I'm amazed anyone is choosing BBD over Gasol.

The 7 footer averaging 11 rebounds a game. I like BBD and with his outside shot he adds another dimension but I think this team could use an inside banger/rebounder a little more. Great insurance for Perk.

Ohh and just for the record
In last post I am asking for this poll B4 the season started
when we were talking about how great BBD was
and yet to discover Gasol potential.

p.s. Gasol before being traded to the lakers was nothing over BBD

p.s.2. Even i voted Gasol int his scenario i dont know what are you trying to prove JSaad??????

I think if I made this poll before the season started the results would be similar.

I don't understand this.

Well, I guess my point. That Gasol is high level prospect and has far more value than BBD (even before he played a single NBA game).

Very good debate for Marc, but does he block shots (Perk does, as well as Shelden).

We don't need another 7 footer. Perk/Shelden/Sheed are holding the low post down.

And Glen Davis fits better into the team. How many minutes would Gasol play? Can he play multiple positions (Glen can).

In a literal sense, Gasol wins this, but I tend to look at the intangibles as well.

Thing is, since BBD is already on the team, I don't think there's a point in giving him up for Gasol.

But, if we could say make a BBD for Gasol trade...well, [dang], where's my pen?
