The only way we lose this year is if one of the majors gets hurt and that is how it is for every team in the league.  No team will win the title this year without one of their top 3 or top 4 players. 

Also I forgot the scenario where A-Rod puts a camera up near the basket and if LeBron or Kobe hits it, it is worth 10 points.  So if that doesn't happen the Celtics will be World Champions again.

The Suns beat the Hornets by 20 tonight.  That's it.  World Champions, it's all over.  No reason to play anymore games. 

Look, I respect the loyalty as a fan.  When I go to a game, I cheer until it feels like my lungs are bleeding for every one of them - even Tony Allen.  I love this team, I love the players, I love the game.  But I also understand that there's a business side to this game.  If Danny is offered a deal that includes one of our core players but makes us significantly better in the long run, he does it - and I applaud him for it. I would miss any player we lose, and I would remain a fan of any player we lose, but I would praise Danny for making the best decision for the team - and the team includes the now, as well as the three years from now. 

There's little room for loyalty in business - unfortunately, when loyalty is brought into the equation it's usually a bad thing from a business perspective.  When stars begin to fade from old age or injuries, teams inevitably move on to replacements.  It sucks, but in a business driven by money, pride and winning, that's the way it is.

  I'm kind of lukewarm on most trades because we've got enough players. Danuels/House/Sheed with a little bit of Baby/Sheldon/Scal is plenty of bench. People want to bring in a pg or a bigger sf but if that player's good enough to help us then they're good enough to get regular minutes. We don't have those minutes available.

I agree, regardless of record, all it takes is a bad matchup in a 7 games series or one incredibly hot super star on another team to take us out.  Nothing is over especially not in  the regular season, especially not in November.

I'm not convinced that this team would have won a championship even with a healthy KG last year.  After the quick start, things got pretty spotty.  I still think that, even with KG, you would have seen a tired Ray and Pierce in the playoffs.  I think any of Los Angeles, Orlando, or Cleveland would have had a shot at beating us; the bench just wasn't strong enough.

This year, I absolutely do think we're the best team in the NBA, but it's a long season.  In terms of trades, I'm sure Danny would be very happy to move Tony Allen and J.R. Giddens for a player who can actually play.

I wouldn't be surprised (and hoping) that giddens & tony allen are moved even if just for draft picks.  Also Scal's contract might be important, but I'd welcome him back after a buyout with open arms.  Tony & Giddens I'll help load their luggage.

I'm not sure that we would have had gotten by Cleveland, and I'm not sure we would have had home court. I believe we had about the same record as Cleveland at the time of the injury, and Cleveland had been gaining ground on us since our quick start.  Last year's squad was simply inherently flawed. 

This year's team is much better.
