I dunno, that looks pretty dream shakey...I don't think it completely changes Kobe's dynamic or anything but it's a nifty lil shot.

Yeah, let's see if he hits the shot with any consistency.

Why is it such a big deal that he had ONE two hour session with Hakeem Olajuwan? I mean I once shook Rev Run's hand, but it didn't make me a rapper...or a reverend.

Its a good move, by a great player.... but nothing we haven't seen before from another great guard (MJ, what?).

To me, the dream shake is a whole other animal, because you're talking about a 7 footer doing those under control jerky spins. Centers aren't supposed to be able to do this.

I like the KG Shake better, with a cherry on top.

True, since KG is a 7 footer, he is closer to doing the dream shake.

What Kobe did isnt much different than any of the jerky moves that MJ, or heck, Pierce, has done!

Exactly.  I think people got caught up in MJ's athletic freakness and Pierce's lack of national recognition to fully appreciate just how deadly their subtle head fakes are and were.

Heck, Bird could raise his eyebrows and get a guy off balance.  These are the times when watching on TV your thinking, "Why'd that guy just lunge forward?"

Olajuwon's annihilation of Robinson. The greatest domination I have ever seen between a #1 guy at his position and a #2 guy.

during last season that youtube video (actually it was another one but same game) was watched daily for like 2 weeks straight.

Olajuwon I mean just wow. To think that (for my money) a guy like Al Jefferson could be the best post scorer in the NBA right now, then to look at a player of Hakeem's caliber...it's like watching a different sport entirely.

Yeah, I hear ya. Olajuwon was just bonkers during his peak. Hopefully Jefferson continues to polish his game, and others as well. I love watching performances like this - an amazing combination of power, agility and skill.
