I remember that game, when McHale clotheslined Rambis ... and the game when Bird and Laimbeer got into it, (the best fights were with the Pistons and Sixers). I loved the "chippy" play in those days ... per chance to dream! We used to turn the sound down on the TV and listen to Johnny Most while watching the television ... perfection!

Doesn't Pecherov live in the eves of some big Cathedral in Paris? I swear I've seen him there in a former life! ;)

I like Brewer's game, too ... this really is a much better team than people think. One or two players away from greatness.

This is the first game where the starting five has played the final minutes ... against Minny?!? These guys always give us a hard time ... and this Pecherov can play, too.

Ugly win ... they played really poorly through 3 1/2, but dug in when they had to at the end ... came up with some great defense on the last few trips down the floor ... I'd give them a C- tonight.

Wow, this game sure did surprise me! What a terrible game... the shots weren't falling for the C's tonight (though overall they were pretty good) while the Wolves didn't miss a beat. Fortunately the C's stepped up a bit on defense at the end, but wow... for a second I was convinced that Pecherov was going to hit a dagger buzzer beater. :'(

Rondo played poorly and well at times. He p---ed me off by trying to get steals on Flynn : almost all Jonny's points or passes were facilitated by Rondo's lack of defense. But he had important steals at the end.

Typical "I'm going to frustrate you all night long" game from the C's with the missed free throws, the shots not falling (Eddie got an airball :o), the turnovers...

But we prevailed, and that's the important thing, though I would have preferred a blowout and rest for the starters.

Very ugly game, I was very very tired last night, and told myself I'll go to sleep when the C's get the lead and proceed to take over the game...Granted I stayed up to watch the whole game.  They played like crap, and the Wolves couldn't miss a shot.

Checking in here late tonight.  Happy to see the Cs pull out the W in Minny.  A close W, but only Pierce broke 40 mins.

Anyone else out there watching the game replay for the first time? (I didn't get to see it at airtime ... and purposely didn't look for the score.)

Thanks.  :P

Oh, sorry B, I didn't mean to spoil the game for you, if that's what happened... I wasn't thinking.  It was late, I was tired, I was annoyed that the Yanks had won.
Celtics fan for life.

Important, though, to win on nights when you're off - and a lot of key people were off last night. One of those "bad Rondo" nights that worries me.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

It wasn't just Rondo.  They were all terrible, particularly in the first half.

18points on 50% shooting, 6assists, 4boards, 3steals, and 2turnovers for Rondo. His defense was a bit suspect, but his man wasn't the one burning us. He was our best starter if not player last night.

Yeah I didn't see much bad Rondo last night.  He keyed the rally in the third quarter.  It was more the Wolves simply not covering him under the basket, but he still was finishing around the rim.  He had that key steal and breakaway layup as well.  I thought Rajon looked pretty good last night.  It was a good win in an emotional game, second night of a back to back, where most of the big guns weren't on the top of their game.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."
