Cool, my $1200 video camera is no longer compatible with MacOS 5.5 or greater... So now I have to downgrade my operating system to upload any video. I'd like to thank Sony and Apple for their lack of cohesion. Also, a special shout out to myself for impulsively buying an HD camera that was out of date the moment I opened the box. fml.

I'm currently a Computer Science major who is taking an intro to hardware/binary class with a professor who just drags on and on. He hasn't graded anything all semester so I have no idea how I am doing in the class.  I thought being a Computer Science major would be fun but this guy is sucking it all out.  I think I need to change my major before I go crazy.

I feel so much better.  TP for the thread idea.

I was supposed to go to the Celtics game in Philadelphia tonight, but can't because I have to work at the election polls until 8:00pm (at least).

  I was going to go to the Revolution playoff game on Saturday with my son but they moved it to Sunday, when he was working from 1-8. They sent him home at about 2:30 (game started at 2:00) because it was slow.

Haha.  There are six attorneys here, doing a job that can be handled by one or two.  And heck, we're state attorneys, so there's not even a billing opportunity.  I'd love to be able to just take off, but sadly job security isn't what it used to be.

Dear god, I'm going to give you a TP for just being a CS major. I switched out after my freshman year after I discovered my disdain for math and Dr. Scheme.

Been out in Chicago two months now.  Grad school has been done since the end of July and I now offically have my Masters in Tax.  Still can't get a job (in what I really want to do). 

I hate this job market.

Software engineering is great discipline and I think a good launching pad for any other career direction you might take. But the CS programs have nothing to do with Software Engineering. Sadly completing a CS program is a pre-req for a lot of SE jobs. I advise going to a few classes of any professor before you take their course, teaching is hard, and so finding the people who do it well is important. If you want more insight into the field, or course suggestions - PM me.

I got impulsive buying my camera, for some reason I got talked into buying the HD camera that uses tapes to save 100 bucks or so. The camera is great, but the file transfer is PAINFUL. And my wife cannot really do it by herself, so its just going to waste. I had technology convergence and I hate non-compatibility.

My wife turned vegetarian, and now I only get to eat meat when we go to restaurants. Luckily she can cook, so those veggie dishes are pretty good, but man do I miss barbecue pork. And lamb roast.
