I need to change my summer tires over to snow tires soon. I've been looking at some of the local tire chains and so far, they all seem the same. I've been unable to find reviews for any of the local chains so I'd prefer to go somewhere where they're not going scratch up my rims.

Does anyone have any experience with the service at Sullivan Tire, Town Fair, or NTB? Are there other places I'm missing? I'm in Eastern MA and wouldn't mind driving to Southeastern NH either if it meant savings.

I don't know about deals, but I've been going to direct tire and auto for the last few years and truly have had fantastic experiences with them everytime.  Yesterday I brought my stepfathers car to their location over in Natick because it had a flat tire.  The guy at Direct tire encouraged me to look through my records to see if the flat tire was part of a set bought at Direct tire.  I ended up discovering the receipt for them in the glovebox and the guy fixed the tire for free, even though they had been purchased at a different location in Peabody.  It was very cool of him and it seemed like he was trying to help make it happen for free for me.

Anyway, I like them and will continue to do business with them.

I always buy tires from www.tirerack.com it's a lot cheaper and then I just have my local garage install them for 20 bucks. A lot of the chain tire places will not change tires unless you buy them from them.

I know you asked for local resources but I figured I would throw in my 2 cents anyways.

Yeah, I checked Tirerack but I added up the shipping, local install costs including TPMS, and found that it was actually more expensive than what the local chains were charging. Plus, the local install shop by me received poor reviews for damaging rims. I'm kinda screwed with my rim size because I can't get tires for cheap.

Thanks for the suggestion anyways. TP4U.

Townfair always seems to have the best deal for me.

If you go to Townfair just hit the website for deals first and print them out. My experince is they don't tell u about the internet deals but they will honor them.
