Chris Paul has a chip on his shoulder that's as big as he is, and one of thses days someone will knock it off ... hard. All I can say is he'd better be very careful the next time he plays the C's, cuz KG and the Truth take care of Rondo, and send physical messages whenever somebody "strong-arms" him.

What is there for the NBA to review? Doesn't trash-talking happen all the time?

Chris Paul thinks he is, as Dave Chappelle would say in his Rick James role, "the baddest motherf***er" in the league. Rondo's thinking goes that way, too, but it's not nearly as strong as with Chris Paul. He should get the crap knocked out of him for once. But we can also circumvent that by just kicking the crap out the Hornets each time, which I'm pretty sure we'll do (March 2008, anyone?).

Yeah seriously there is nothing to review here... no fight whatsoever.

Yeah, really ... I miss the days of Bird and Magic, when things would get reall "chippy" on a regular basis ... that was just part of the game, and while I understand the reasons for the new stricter rules, I think they've gone too far in reigning in the emotion and physicality. Let the guys play, man ... trash talking is part of basketball ... and always has been! I mean, two guys exchange words and they have to review it? Come on!

Because they are looking for a reason to suspend a Celtic player.

Agreed.  There were no punches thrown.  It should be a non-issue.

If anything, I guess they're looking into reports that CP3 had to be held back as he tried to get into the Celtics locker room.  However, a report in the Herald I read seemed to have discredited that story, or at least suggested it was blown out of proportion.

I have to agree Roy, the NBA's real concern is the reports about CP3 after the game.

If anything I bet they started this just so they could tell both Rondo and Paul to cool it. They don't want two of the league's young stars to actually come to blows. Though I'm sure somewhere in Stern's mind any sort of real rivalry with involving Chris Paul is a good thing.

I still find it tough to believe how poorly the Hornets have played overall this season. They didn't look too bad against us, but they've been pretty awful all their other games.

Given that Ray Allen, reportedly, entered the NO locker room after the game and all but apologized for Rondo being a punk, I somehow doubt this will happen.

There was no "incident".  This is just crazy.  It's too bad Paul plays like a miserable jerk, because he's so good.  He's a guy that I'd like to root for, but he makes that very hard to do with his bad attitude.
On another note, the guy is just awesome as a player and should be mentioned in the Lebron/Kobe conversation for best player in the league.

It is completely rediculous if they are really looking into it. Players talk trash all the time, it's part of the game. I like Rondo playing his game with a passion, I just hope he doesn't go overboard on the trash now that he got his contract.

File under: Not an issue.

This really is a non-issue. Just another thing that's going to make everyone hate us, but whatever.

From interviews, it seems that this year, Rondo's aiming for another championship, being the best point guard in the NBA, and making sure not to give any confidence to any team. And getting under the skin of the best point guard in the NBA is just part of that game. So what if Rondo is disrespecting the best of the best?  People can say whatever they like about how Rondo doesn't know his place, but as a C's fan, I love that Rondo has the fire and spirit in him to challenge the status quo in any way he can.

Also, what did Rondo say to Chris Paul that wasn't true? That Paul's never gonna win a ring.. anyone can see that with the sorry team they have now. That Paul's frustrated with his situation and is envious of Rondo's situation.. I'm sure all point guards envy Rondo for having teammates like KG, Ray, PP, and Rasheed.
