Thanks for the TP's everyone!  Chris Paul is going to be hyped up for this game.  Every Hornets blog has the quote from Rondo (via Chris Mannix) that CP3 has the stats he does because he always has the ball in his hands.  I imagine that it has gotten back to Chris Paul and he will be looking to get some satisfaction by outplaying Rondo.  The rest of the team will have to have his back.

TP FL for the game thread. Here's the thing about CP3 trying to outplay Rondo. he doesn't have the horses to do it. Rondo will pack up stats because the guys he passes to will make the shots against the Hornets. Can the same be said for the guys Paul will be passing to against this Celtics defense? I don't think so and Rondo will be 1st Team NBA All-Defense this year. Bank on that. At best Paul I think will be able to play Rondo to a draw.

One thing I find strange in RR's game is that he doesn't dribble the ball he just uses his speed to get in front of his guy. There is so much room to improve on that count and it would help him with his J eventually. Rondo uses his off hand more times that his right one so I know he is a excellent ball handler it just the technique that is missing.
It would add another dimension in his game IMO

I always love the Hornets Celtics matchup for some reason, I suppose mainly because it's nice to see Rondo really take it to CP3. Okafur in hornets attire will also be an interesting site in tonight's game.

RR and Perk are dead on, The ONLY thing that makes Chris Paul such a statistically dominant PG is that noone else touches the ball.

I really don't understand all these rationalizations to explain why Chris Paul has a high number of assists... he's a really good point guard, and has great vision in the court. That's why he gets the assists total. And all this with crappy teammates at a slow pace.

And as far as Rondo is concerned, Paul takes about 6 or 7 shots more per game... that's 6 or 7 shots more that he has no chance of getting an assists on. He also plays more minutes than Rondo, so it goes both ways.

With all that said, Rondo and the Celtics will destroy him tonight.

Plus it seems like Pierce is making an extreme effort to crash the boards. KG is also looking good rebound-wise.... then theres the fact that we don't miss.
