I love Rondo too. 2 straight games Rondo on Point, and the results speaks for itself. If he continue to put on this effort everynight, O Boy look out. Yeah, if it's six years it's going to have to be in the $72-$78 million range. I can see a six year deal with years of 9.5/10.5/11.5/12.5/13.5/14.5 for $73 million getting done. It's an extremely reasonable contract for the first few years at prices below market value for a top 5 PG in the NBA.

I think you are right, but I hope that Danny and Wyc can talk them down a hair just to help our flexibility and maybe make up some of the compromise with incentives ala BBD's weight incentive.  If they can meet in the middle with some benchmarks built in to keep Rajon extra motivated, we're all good.

I am pretty sure they can only sign him to a 5 year deal.  He would be locked up for 6 years, because the contract would kick in after this season, but the new contract would only be for 5 years.  If they waited until after the season, then they could sign him for 6 years.

I think he's definitely in the discussion along with Nash, Kidd, Parker, and Davis for that 5th spot.
