I know I'm late with this but I've been watching this very entertaining Spurs/Bulls game and thought I'ld make a double header game thread to see if anyone else was following along.

First impressions, Rose, Noah and Blair are all excellent young talents and I can't believe that Blair lasted into the second round.

Wow. Noah hitting 18 footers.
He should only get 1 point because it was so ugly.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Did you catch the John Cena, you can't see me hand wave. I hope Duncan hits him in the teeth for that.

Love him. Hate him. Joakim Noah can be a Boston Celtic anytime he wants. Kids a winner.

It hurts seeing Finley and Bonner in that starting lineup. Please give Timmy and Tony more help.

* Finley = very poor rebounder
* Bonner = poor rebounder
* Jefferson = below average rebounder
* Parker = mediocre rebounder for a point guard

I feel sorry for Duncan whenever I see that lineup. Give the man some more help! Not wild about the defensive help he's getting either, particularly Bonner. The Spurs should be moving away from their reliance on Duncan as a scorer and that starting unit doesn't do that well enough.

That small ball lineup at the end of the half with Richard Jefferson at the power forward spot against Luol Deng. That's a terrible matchup for San Antonio. Deng can tear RJ apart, particularly on the offensive + defensive glass with his rebounding.

That's a really poor small ball option for the Spurs ... I don't think this year's Spurs can matchup with those combo-forward types. Couldn't last year either.

The Spurs have something against wing players who rebound. They have only one decent wing rebounder on their roster -- Ginobili and he's excellent, and it's one (rebounding) of the (many) reasons why San Antonio always plays so much better when he's on the floor. Because their bigs are finally getting some help on the glass.

I like to see what Marcus Haislip could do after his time in Spain. Athletically, he's what the Spurs need in a small ball lineup and he has that three point shot offensively.

Haislip must be playing pretty badly in practices for Bonner to be playing ahead of him.

I want to see more Blair. Send TD to the 5 and start Blair at the 4. Rebounding solved.
