It was reported by Greg Dickerson during the game tonight, (and in various articles), that Larry Brown was instrumental and played a "big part" in bringing Rasheed Wallace to Boston. I've come to the conclusion, (after disliking Sheed for many years in a Pistons uniform), that he could easily be the "it" factor that makes this team nearly impossible to beat this year, and the "glue" that binds the starting five to this very deep bench. Thank you, Larry Brown.  ;D

Can you provide a link brah? I'd like to know how LB was instrumental in the Sheed signing.  ;)

It was a story that Dickerson told on a break in the first half, that Doc had told him. Not sure what articles it's in, but I'll check around. Comcast will be re-broadcasting the game at noon today.

Here's one, from local sources ;): http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/celtics/extras/celtics_blog/2009/10/brown_calls_wal.html

Granted, I only skimmed the Herald article but I'm not sure Brown played a "big part", it reads to me like he just gave his blessing.

Greg was quoting Doc when he said that Larry was "insrumental" in Sheed coming to Boston.

Looks to me that maybe Larry Brown should have played a big part in bringing Allen Iverson to Charlotte.  If there's any team in more desperate need for someone who can put the ball in the hoop, it's them.

No kidding.  There definitely isn't anybody he'd really have to share the ball with on that team, either.

That was truly some of the saddest offense I've seen in a while ... especially the second half. It's not for lack of talent, just lack of anything resembling continuity or rhythm.
