Here's another guy that we talked about getting that's available (via realgm)! I wonder if he'd be any better than TA?

You can have him, especially if it means less of Delonte.  Antonio Daniels stinks.

I wonder if the Cav's are interested because they want to trade D-West? Perhaps D-West and some change to Golden State for Capt. Jack?

Maybe we could sign him as Assistant Director of Scouting for Development.

I think Dwest's trade value is pretty low at this point.

nice, hopefully that means they don't have big plans for Dwest this year, which will hurt them on defense.

Daniels does have an amazing assist percentage (consistently around 35%), meaning 35% of his possessions end in assists. This doesn't even count hockey assists or just passing in general. His shooting however is a little poor. That being said, what we are looking for is a passing guard, which I wouldn't mind.

His age may have slowed him down defensively though.

Offer Tony Allen and JR Giddens to Minnesota for Corey Brewer and then sign Daniels to the minimum OR simply cut Allen

While Daniels isn't that great, he plays a better role for this team than Allen.

Minnesota wouldn't do that trade. They like Brewer. He'll probably be starting at SG this season.

Corey Brewer is a crap player and has been widely overrated on this board since he was a draft eligible kid.   He's this generations Stacy Augmon and is soon to be an NBA journeyman, but OK.

Not to get lost in this discussion.  I'd prefer us to cut Tony Allen and sign Antonio Daniels.   He plays a position of need where Allen is just a body.
