No-
Looking at him play last week from about 10 feet away, Sheed look good.
Although he did miss a shot about 6 feet behind the 3 point line during the run.

Interesting topic, especially because recently my brother (Reggies Ghost) and I were working on a short documentary piece about the new BC mens basketball coach Pat Chambers and set up an interview with him.  At the very beginning when we were setting up we started chatting with him about the Celtics and he mentioned that he had just gotten back from checking out celtics training camp and meeting with Doc Rivers.  He then launched into this whole thing about Sheed being really out of shape and having a huge pot belly.  I was surprised to hear it, but he was really convinced about what he was saying.  And I have to say after doing an entire interview with him that he wasn't a guy to b.s. for no reason, he knew his stuff.

Maybe I shouldn't have even said any of this because I don't think he intended it to be on the record...Oh well.

Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

He looks heavier, but it's more important that he's in shape. There is a difference. Players that have the inclination to be a little bit heavier like Paul Pierce remain in shape at all times because of a great work ethic. I'd be willing to put Rasheed in that boat. He does seem like a hard worker, despite a little baggage.

Without a doubt ... but is it a negative thing in his case? I don't think so ... he looks to be moving better than he has in the last couple of years, and more importantly, he's more at ease, with what seems to be a much better attitude. I wasn't worried much about his game when I found out he was coming here, I was worried about the chip on his shoulder and how he would fit into Ubuntu ... and I'm glad to say that I think he's going to be a great fit for this team.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Wallace has the Scalabrine-type physique where he never looks that in shape.  He looks about the same to me.

Nobody knows what Scal's physique is like with all that blubber covering it.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but he looks a little heavy to me. I think he will still be a big part of this years championship, just a little disappointed he didn't come in to camp in a little better shape.

Don't forget guys, when Ben Wallace left Detroit Sheed was assigned to the Center position. He picked up weight for the position, as we need him to play that position still. I do see the "sluggishness" but I think it's b/c it's preseason. Play hard, but don't blow your 38 year old knees out. He'll be big as the rotations start rolling throughout the year.
Can't stop, Rondo!
