If the Timberpuppies have Love and Big All out for a very long stretch of this season, at least they will have an excuse for sucking and appearing to be tanking the season from the get go to get a good draft pick next year to entice big name FAs to come play there(not they many would go to Minny). I don't see what teams like NJ, NY, the Clippers, and Phoenix, who I think will all be tanking mightily all season to get a very high pick, excuses will be!

Imagine if Minny gets the #1 pick and feels obligated to select John Wall.  Then they'll have the rights to 3 lottery pick point guards.
They would be able to land a bundle by trading his or Ricky Rubio's rights to another team. Imagine having the rights to Wall, Flynn, Rubio and Sessions? Ot they could keep the Ssessions and Flynn combo if they show something special this year and trade both!!! They could EVEN literally pick what they deem is the best and then trade the other three for very valuable players and/or picks!!!!! They might be able to build a real, honest to goodness team around trading star potential quality PGs.

That would be making the most out of a crappy situation for them.  Having a choice between 4 potentially good to great PGs and then trading those very valuable assets to stock the team in weak areas could move them up the contender list quickly.  They'll suffer this year for sure but there may be some hope in the next couple of years.

Yeah, it would be pretty cool.  I think they'd be best off holding on to the #1 pick though, unless they really think Sessions / Flynn or Rubio are a surer thing or have more upside.

Unfortunately, while some guys are good at slowing injuries down, Al Jefferson defends injuries, the same way he defends everyone else...

He defends his assist total pretty well too.  Never have i seen such an overall flawed player in multiple aspects of the game receive so much praise for his one skill that he is pretty good at.

Well, in fairness to Big Al, that one skill that he has is very important.  Not many guys have anywhere near as good of a post game as Big Al, and he's developed a fairly respectable jump shot (it's nothing to write home about, but he keeps teams honest).  He's also a good rebounder on both ends of the court, and his assist rate isn't *that* bad.

Big Al is a 20-10 big man with good size for his position.  He can play both PF and C reasonably well.  That makes him a really solid building block for any good team.

The bottom line is, unless a guy is a total defensive liability (re: Zach Randolph), if he's giving you 20+ pts and 10+ rebounds a game, he's a really good player.

Now, if you could combine Dwight Howard and Al Jefferson - Superman Defense with Awesome Post Offense...that would be magnificent.

And with Kevin Love's problems too. Too bad, I definitely always keep an eye on them once the season starts.

I agree that Big Al is deeply flawed, but I don't think you can dismiss his excellent rebounding and interior scoring as one skill that he's pretty good at.  He's strong enough in those categories that he's been able to get away with crapping the bed in all the other categories.

Not as bad as first thought. Hopefully good news for Al. I am looking forward to seeing him play the Celts in two weeks.

He's bigger than brand, younger than brand, and has a lot of potential.  But Brand isn't exactly a bad player, so I'm not sure what you're trying to say.
