I think prehaps people are missing the biggest point. If Pierce did indeed make a $10,000 bet and lost, he should pay. Nothing worse than a welsher. When you make a bet it's expected you pay up if you lose. So pay the man his money Paul.

Well, for it to be a bet, there has to be an offer and acceptance of that offer, right?  Did Horford agree to the bet?  Was he going to pay $10k if the Hawks got swept?

I don't know. I wasn't there. I was just kidding. Althought if it was an agreed upon bet, I do think it would need to be paid.
