Wow, didn't really expect this Carolina squad to stick it to Minnesota. 

Yeah ... I thought Minny would dominate, or it would at least be in their favor. Peppers has been HUGE.

A few weeks ago, I would have said their were three clear-cut top teams:  Indy, New Oreleans, and Minnesota.

Now, who knows?  Indy is undefeated, but doesn't look invincible.  The Saints lost a home game against the dysfunctional Cowboys. Minnesota got dominated in two games.

I still think it will be Indy and the Saints, but I'm nowhere near confident in that.

Now, who knows?  Indy is undefeated, but doesn't look invincible.  The Saints lost a home game against the dysfunctional Cowboys. Minnesota got dominated in two games.

I still think it will be Indy and the Saints, but I'm nowhere near confident in that.

The Chargers aren't looking too shabby, either ... and they have historically given the Colts problems.

Luckily for the Colts, the Chargers (and really, all Norv Turner teams) also have a history of choking in big games.  They've got the talent, but I'm not sure if they have the makeup.

I don't think they'll get past Indy, if they get that far, but they've been playing well enough lately to make it much more interesting ... and Manning has choked a few times in the playoffs, too.

I think Indy reps the AFC in the SuperBowl. Any one of four teams could rep the NFC the way the top teams are playing. Really do think New Orleans is the best all around team this year and should be SB champs though. What should happen and what does happen, as 2007 proved, is often two very different things.

I think San Diego can take out Indy.  I'm still not sold on the Colts. Obviously, they're 14-0 but they've illustrated some flaws and I think are vulnerable.  San Diego has the right kind of offense to do some damage on Indy's defense.  Let's not forget they know how to win in Indy too. 

New Orleans had that hiccup against the Cowboys but I still think are the best team in the NFC.  If you asked me a few weeks ago, I would've said that I thought Minnesota could take the Saints out.  Now I'm not so sure.  Minnesota's shown some weakness in the last few weeks plus I still don't like Favre when it counts.

And, as Brett conveniently mentioned, he was sacked four times and rushed a million more. Julius Peppers all but lined up in the Vikings backfield. The offensive line was terrible.

Then again, did Brett Favre really need to mention it? When it goes bad for Tom Brady, he takes the blame and defends his teammates’ talent, effort, performance.
