def. think there is a place for lester on this team...and not just sitting in a suit each night

Yeah ... I think so, too ... time will tell if he gets enough opportunity this year, but I like his chances.

Totally agree. He can really shoot and has better point guard skills than Eddie House. He won't get tons of minutes, there's simply not enough to go around, but he'll play and play well.

As I've said in other threads, where are these minutes coming from?  On a team with 3 All Star caliber players at the 1-3, even if they aren't playing 40 mpg, there are few minutes left for subs.  I don't see how Hudson finds minutes except in blow outs unless he beats out House or someone goes down.

Look in my quote. Gabe Pruitt played last year and he was worse than Hudson--therefore, Hudson will absorb those Pruitt minutes and still more because he can actually do things for you on the court. He will not play that much, but he will play well.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

We didn't have a PG last year behind Rondo, nor a backup for Pierce who could handle the ball. and when we did get a PG Pruitt was cut from the lineup completely in favor of Marbury. We all know Marbs was the worst player on a team that included Mikki Moore.

Pruitt's minutes were never meaningful. He was a garbage time player.

I like lester, he should hold down a lower bench spot and get spot minutes when eddie is having trouble keeping quicker guards in front of him.

Is it me, or does Sweetney look slimmer and slimmer with every game?

He shows decent mobility, given his weight, and even got off the floor to challenge some shots and grab a rebound or two.

I am starting to think that he might be worth keeping instead of one of our three unskilled, perma-inured (or both) wings that we have on the bench.

I agree with you totally. Sweetney looks thinner, and today he actually got off the ground a respectable amount to challenge a shot. I don't think I'd get rid of a wing to keep Sweetney, but Shelden Williams? I'd cut him in a heartbeat to keep Sweets.

- I like Lester, too
- I think he should be 10th man
- I think he should get spot minutes (what Pruitt got, although I think he should play some more meaningful minutes as well, just not a lot)
- I said earlier: he has better PG skills than House--that includes defense.

I really like Lester, too ... and while I want to see more of him before awarding him substantial minutes, I'm optimistic that Danny may have found another solid prospect for the future. (Danny has a knack for that). Can't wait to see more of this kid ... I'm excited to watch how he develops. (TP)

Hey! It seems like Lester is the man!. Today 3pts in 3 mins and last game, 12 pts in 12 mins. Can anybody be more effective?. I hope he becomes a part of the rotation this year. With the 58th pick of the Draft, that will be awesome! What a steal! Go Celtics!!
