I've always been on the page that the old officials generally treated the Celtics unfairly and were biased in their calls against them.
Apparently the rest of the league thinks the opposite. I was in a chat room tonight, and a Raptors fan, a Nets fan, and a Cavaliers fan all were talking about how "the only reason the Celtics win is because the officiating always goes their way." I'd pull up a link, but it was a chat room, so its expired at this point.

I'm just interested in your opinions on this.
Practice? Whatchu talkin about practice?

I think most fans think their team gets screwed more than others.  I don't think the refs are against the Celtics, nor do I think they're for them.  Rather, I think refs in general are pretty bad.

The one thing I do see is that the Celtics don't get the "superstar" calls that Lebron, Kobe, and Wade get.  However, I think other than that they're probably treated equally to just about anybody else.

After those Rondo plays in the Bulls series last year, I'm not surprised other fans think we get a lot of slack.  I agree that every team thinks their team gets screwed - we notice the calls and no-calls we think go against our team and ignore or dismiss questionable calls that favor us.

I don't like the bias for Lebron, Kobe, etc.  There is a real bias there.  But as far as team perspective goes I agree with Roy, etc.  However, my major problem with the old referees is that they had an agenda and game management plan instead of just calling each play individually.
