Maybe they got enough grief from all of us---I know I called twice AND wrote a letter to Directv--and the NBA about this--!!

But let's see if the game is actually on.

I have called 4 times and talked to various levels of people at DTV.  I have also written several times to them and to League Pass customer service and to NBA.  I just checked the channels and in the past it always said they weren't available and now it says upcoming preseason basketball.  Woohoo!!!!  Maybe I'll get to watch the game tonight!!!  Thank you for making my day just thinking I may get to watch.  TP to bbd24 for letting us know!!!

I know you all have checked before, but this is the first game where the channels in the 750's are showing coverage.  Those are the league pass channels.  This is the first time I've seen them activate them this year, first time they've been made available.  The prior games weren't allotted on those channels.  They were strictly on channel 630, which is of course Comcast Sportsnet New England.

751 shows the game coming up.  Most likely the NJ Nets feed.

752 also shows the game coming up.  I'm guessing its the Boston feed since normally the 2nd feed on the league pass channels is the Visitor feed.  The first feed is the home teams feed.

I've subscribed to the league pass since 1997.  I live in Northern CA.  I usually get all the preseason games, except I haven't been getting them this year so far.  Hopefully tonight were turned back on.

I've never gotten both feeds before.  It is always usually the home team's feed.   I've sent the suggestion many times to LP telling them it would be nice to have both feeds available like they do with audio league pass and maybe they took me up on it.  It would be great if I could get Mike and Tommy every game.

I've never gotten both feeds before.  It is always usually the home team's feed.  The two listings may be for regular and HD.  However, I've sent the suggestion many times to LP telling them it would be nice to have both feeds available like they do with audio league pass and maybe they took me up on it.  But, my guess is it's the regular and HD.

Yeah, you should only get 1 feed.  Generally the home teams feed although sometimes thats not the case.

This is a fairly new thing Directv has been trying to add to there sport packages.  2 feeds.  It started with the MLB package. Generally, you get the home teams feed if your out of the local market.  So I'm guessing tonight that those like me, who are in CA, will get the NJ feed.  Unfortunately.

Their is actually 4 listings.

751 Standard feed
751-1 HD Feed

752 Standard feed
752-1 HD Feed

The 751 channels are most likely NJ feeds.  While the 752 channels are Bostons.  Just going by whose the home team and visitor.  Generally, the home teams channel is listed first.

I assume the preseason games aren't free.  You must already be subscribed to the NBA league pass.  Just a guess though. (unless there is some sort of free preview which they normally do at the start of sport seasons). If its like baseball, and your out of market in both areas (i.e. NJ or Boston), you may be able to pick the feed you want to watch.  I've been waiting for this feature and I'm hoping its starting up this year.  We'll see.

Yep, as am I Edgar.  I think were finally going to see a game tonight.  Guaranteed to be in HD even, with both feeds showing an HD telecast (751-1 and 752-2). WOOO HOOO!

Can't believe the so called 'leader in sports television' dropped the ball and has waited til today to setup channels for the league pass.  Whose running that program over there ?

Yeah, I love the auto renew feature that DTV has.  I'm more than ready to watch some basketball.   I have seen ads that say that there will be a free preview that starts on 10/27 for the first week of the season.  I doubt that will be now.  I'm sure you have to be subscribed to get it.

I really would love them to have the feature to pick the feed you want.  I have suggested that to them every year as I hate it when I don't get Mike and Tommy.

From the free preview of the MLB package, they were allowing you to pick the feed you wanted if you were outside both local markets.  Seeing the double feeds on directv now (751 and 752) for NBA, I'm thinking that this features been added.  We'll see I guess.

I too, live in N.Cali and have been deprived of watching any preseason games so far with Directv. I am psyched it might finally be on tonight..the withdrawal symptoms are killing me!

I cant believe they have blacked us out so far, good way to treat your season pass subscribers! Now if the power can only stay on tonight during the severe storm.
