Where will there be the most Bad Blood and where the most Love/Respect. How do Sheed and Marquis impact that dynamic.

Cavs: LeBron, Shaq, Mo Williams, Il, Varejao
Magic: Howard, Lewis, Carter
Lakers: Bryant, Gasol, Odom, Artest, Fischer
Spurs: Duncan, Parker, Ginobli, Jefferson, McDyess

All this talk about KG being a bully, but seems like he is pretty well respected. Just don't have a good feel how Sheed is perceived - did not hate him; but thought he was a cry baby at times (not my fav pre-celtics days).

Does Sheed or Daniels have a history w/ Artest?

I think there will be mutual respect vs San Antonio but Lakers, Cavs and Magic there will be a lot of bad blood esp the Lakers. Cavs are probably cocky now too.

I think the "bad blood" for this team has more to do with teams like Atlanta, New York and Detroit, though certainly also with Cleveland and L.A., (to say the least), although I think with the Spurs and Magic, it's more a question of just good competition, not really bad blood. Bad blood toward the Celtics is usually just individual arrogance directed at a team that puts that "team" above all else ... Ubuntu actually works, and I think it peeves some of the more "star-oriented" teams like Cleveland, L.A., Miami, and arrogant young teams like Atlanta and  Charlotte, etc. As to the last question, everyone has a history with Artest, especially Paul, or if they haven't, they soon will have. Sorry, but I'm one of those who feel players like Artest and Bowen shouldn't even be allowed on the court. The "bullying" comments directed at KG are generally either envy or just because they perceive his "intensity" in that way. As far as mutual "love" between teams, I don't think it really exists in the NBA, and "mutual respect" generally translates directly into "bad blood" ... or comes as close to it as is possible. ;) Nice post! KG talks about the NBA as a brotherhood. At the same time he is such a fierce competitor that as soon as you drive into his house he will rip your head off. The main reason for my question is that everyone talks about what a good teammate Sheed is, yet he was so easy to dislike as an opposing fan that it could end up fanning the flame. Does he have specific issues with other players or just the refs.

Reasons to hate the Celtics:
1. Eddie's late game 3's (when you are up by 20)
2. Rondo making opposing PG's look silly
3. KG's much discussed antics
4. PPierce's swagger
and Now Sheed's rants

The Celtics have such an imposing team this year. The question is how the other teams will respond. I think they will be able to back up their swagger; but I can also see a lot of people gunning for us.

Before I clicked the thread, I was seriously wondering what having bad blood with Kevin Love has to do with anything.

Same. On same note, for some reason we seem to have more "bad blood" with knicks and hawks then cavs and magic. I dont know exactly why it happened, but seemed to have rubbed those two teams more then our natural contending rivals.

KG is a bully.  I guess it helps him dominate players who he's supposed to dominate, but I'm tired of him picking on every foreign player and Americans he know won't give it back to him.  Once in a while I'd like to see him mess with someone known as a tough guy.  I know he underestimated ZaZa a couple years ago, then he looked like he was going to poop his pants when ZaZa responded.

This ain't where everyone gets a cheesey made in China trophy to feel good about themselves.  This is where men come to play to see who is the best!

Step up or get stepped on.

Amen. Watch out for the women and children.

...and yes, by women I mean Anderson Varejao.
