United Football League to Kickoff Premiere Season Tonight on Versus

The game is on tonight at 9 EST between the California Redwoods at the Las Vegas Locomotives at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas Nevada on Versus. The game will also be webcast on the UFL's website.

It should be very interesting to see what happens. A lot of people doubted that this league would ever kickoff but they are proving a lot of the haters wrong. I can't wait.

I can't see this league lasting.  4 teams?  Also Florida's game is scheduled to play around the same time the UF v. LSU game is.  That isn't smart.

I guess the skill level of these guys is the thing I'm most interested in.  The quality of play in the XFL was brutal to watch.

Unfortunately, between a flag football game I'm playing in and the Red Sox game, I won't have any time to watch the game tonight.  Maybe I'll DVR it.

This league has no chance, just like all the others that came before it. 

I would like to see the NFL come up with a 'minor league' division at some point (I guess like the NFL Europe but keep it here in the states), but it isnt going to be successful when it is one of these start up leagues

4 teams is just for year one. They will expand to 6 teams in year 2 with Hartford and Los Angeles coming in most likely. It is better to start off small and expand than to start out big and contract.
