There, I said it. I don't have any more news or updates on KG's injury than anyone else. So I am going on my opinion.
But, honestly, I just don't see it happening. He doesn't have the type of injury that has a "prognosis."
At this point, he still can't play competitive ball. I don't see things getting drastically better in the next few months.
Moreover, I looked, and still do look, at the Rasheed signing as a KG replacement. A guy who can fill in until KG is back.
So, in conclusion, I expect KG to be out for a good portion of the regular season. And I expect Rasheed to be the starter.
Even if KG is able to come back, which I think he will, later on in the regular season, I still expect Rasheed to continue being the starter.
Lastly, I think KG will still play with the same fire and intensity as always. But the days of KG being an all-star, all NBA, and all defensive guy are over.
But, it is my belief, that, even with a declining KG, when coupled with a declining Rasheed, may be enough to make some noise, mostly because they are great shooting big men and good defensive players.
