Should be a great game. There is no doubting that the Jets played a very very good game last week against the Texans. The Pats didnt look great in their last game (at least in the first half).
A lot of subplots in this game:
1.How's Brady's knee? In the first half last week he looked tentative and had a bit of happy feet whenever people were near him. As a result, his passes were not nearly as accurate or crisp as we have become accustomed to. In the second half of the game, he certainly looked much better, much more accurate. Curiously missing were any attempted long throws - a staple of the first season with Moss. This may have been a product of the injury, it may have been a product of the defense.
Ron Jaworski recently opined that Brady isnt following through with his passes, as a result in a lack of confidence with the injury. Carson Palmer before the season discussed the knee injury and the confidence issue.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/09/20/jaworski-brady-isnt-following-through/The Jets generated a TON of pressure last week on the QB. The o-line will be tested in this one.
2. How will the Pats D look without their recently annointed leader, J Mayo. This is a horrible stretch to be without Mayo, but looking just at today, the Jets have Leon Washington who is incredibly proficient in space. He will likely see the ball a lot in screens, draws, and quick passes. The Jets also have a 'wildcat' of their own, with Brad Smith who has done some damage against the pats in the past.
3.The Jets trash talk. This has recently gotten to unprecidented levels (IMO).
We have comments about not kissing the rings, wanting to embaress the Pats, wanting to be (hit) around Brady's legs, Bart Scott saying he is ready to punch Patriots if needed ("If Kerry needs someone to back him up, I'll be right there to throw the first punch."

As a fan, I am even more amped about this game as a result of all of the trash talking by the Jets. Hopefully the Pats respond with a great game.
One subplot will be to see which Darrelle Revis shows up against Moss.
In their first meeting, Moss torched Revis (9 receptions, 183 yards).
Since then, in 3 games, Moss has 10 receptions for 127 yards. (Cassel was QB for 2 of them)
Ultimately, this looks like it could be a very good game, and I would be surprised to see a blowout.
