combine the depression with the guns and this isn't exactly something I feel comfortable joking about - there are elements there to legitimately be scared for the guy and those around him

No one is making any mention about whether the guns were legally registered to him or whether he had a license to carry a concealed weapon.

I would at the very least like to see what the facts are regarding this before condemning him as having done something wrong.

In the story that was written, it says nothing about why he was arrested. He could have been arrested for driving a motorcycle without a motorcycle license for all we know, according to the link. I doesn't once mention why he was arrested accept in the title.

Apparently he was charged with two counts of carrying a hand gun. Now perhaps those hand guns are licensed elsewhere. I don't know but the paperwork is still not complete on the matter almost a day later, so we will see what sticks.

Exactly my thoughts.  He's not leaving the store with a CD that he can't wait to open and pop in.  We're talking guns.

Exactly.  Really, the only real explanation I can think of that doesn't involve him having a direct plan to use those guns is that for some reason he is REALLY afraid for his life, and needs the protection.  And if that is the case, either he has put himself in a bad situation...or he is paranoid.  Either way, it is not a good sign for a guy who I have heard many times is a very good kid, but who has had some personal issues/demons he has been dealing with.

I really hope he has an explanation that I just didn't think of...

In the daytime though it makes no sense to be fearful for your life unless you are making a huge power drug move. If you go out at nightime and are out at the clubs, I can understand not feeling safe and having a gun, although I have never personally felt the need to carry one or own one.     Day time just makes no sense.  Its crazy.
