Wow.  Heck of an ending, no matter who you're rooting for.

Unless you're a fan of Nebraska. ;)

Hahaha... I wasn't rooting for the Huskers as much as I was rooting against Texas.  Still, it was a great game to watch.

  • Thank you Eddie!
Texas will get crushed by 'Bama.  They should put TCU or Cincy in the title game, but that has no chance of happening. ::)

That, plus the horse collar, were the clinchers.

I'm not as mad about the horse collar, that'll happen during  plays. But a kickoff is something that you cannot mess up like that. Its just too simple of a play.

ARGHHH.

At least McCoy won't have a shot at the Heisman now. He doesn't deserve to even be invited, he's been blah this year.

Well first I want to congratulate Racker

Next.  I just...don't even know what to say.  Remember the guy last week trying to figure out if he should go to the wife's company Christmas party?  That was me last night and apparently I missed like the greatest day of football ever.

There are 5 undefeated teams in the country, 2 of which won by a point yesterday......I don't know what to say. I'm still processing the whole thing.

If the BCS stays the way it is I think I'll have the perfect example of something for my kid, but I'm not sure what. I just am not sure what to say when years from now my ten year old is like "Dad. There's 5 undefeated teams in the country. Why don't they just play it out?" It will be such an emperor has no clothes moment.  "Dad don't they want to know who the best team is?"  Just....book me for therapy now.

I refuse to believe this can continue. It's unnatural. It's against the human condition. Remember when Mich and USC were co-national champs and both visited Bush at the White House and he was like "Well I got a ball so let's just settle this in the Rose Garden right now?"   There was much wisdom in that. Something's going to happen. I can't go on like this.

Ok I've seen the Texas/Nebraska highlights now and maybe it's better I didn't watch this game

In a nutshell, Nebraska lost the game, rather than Texas winning it.

Sigh...  if only McCoy had waited one more half-second before releasing that ball.

Yes and no. I mean really, its hard to say NU should have won a game where their offense produced exactly one drive to get into scoring position. Everything else was special team and defense.

Well, a win's a win.  Hook 'em Horns!

Not a pretty affair.  Horns offense definitely had its struggles.  Hats off to the Cornhusker defense for making McCoy's day a nightmare.  The pressure they were getting on him all day was surreal.  The kick out of bounds and horse collar were HUGE breaks.  Quite the kick too.

'Bama-Texas should be a fun matchup.  Two loyal fanbases and two of the more storied programs in college football history. IMO, its gonna be a battle of two great defenses.  The question is going to be which offense can get things going.  I don't expect a high scoring affair here but its gonna be a fun one to watch.

So does the Fiesta Bowl pair up TCU & Boise State?  It won't be a ratings bonanza by any means but it would be a fun one to watch if you're a college football fan.  It's just too bad that the winner wouldn't get to face the national championship game winner.

I saw that possible matchup and wanted to puke. It's David vs David.  It doesn't help resolve anything.

Well, it would resolve which Non-BCS team is better.  I'm firmly in TCU's corner on this one.

However, big picture-wise, you're probably right.

It has occurred to me that if Tebow wins the Heisman his two trophies will be in years he didn't win the championship, but not in years he did
