Different things got me thinking about this.  Mainly seeing the draft redux thread and BASEketball.

Three best teams -- Cleveland + Minnesota + San Antonio

Boston, Chicago and New Orleans are also impressive. Golden State and Phoenix are interesting too.

Billups, Johnson, and Pierce AND big Al.  I wouldn't mind that.  But where's Gerald?

Poor Lakers.

David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Good idea, but kind of tragically flawed. We had to trade Antoine Walker to Dallas to get Delonte West, and I'm sure that's the case with a lot of the other teams and players on there, too.

So if we had to trade a player we drafted for another player, wouldn't that cancel everything out?

Jeez I'm a party pooper  :(

I love Minnesota's lineup and you can't sleep on OKC

I may put these teams together on NBA2k10 when it comes out...

We didn't trade for Delonte, we traded for his pick.  He was officially drafted with our team.

That's what they get for being good.
They should've sucked for a while like us.

Missing the point... We traded Antoine to get Delonte. We drafted Antoine. If players remained on the teams that drafted them, we couldn't trade Antoine.

Clippers would dominate them, adding insult to injury, or is it the other way around

Yeah but this is just a fun exercise.

You could make the same point that if some of those players had remained with their original team they'd have never drafted some of the later picks. But its just a fun thought experiment!

In theory the league would be more well balanced, but I doubt that would actually be the case.
