  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
And they're not getting to pick the player they probably really want. So I guess yes, in 2011 they'll have 2 players for teh price of one..but in the meantime, they won't have Earl Clarke or whoever tehy'd pick..and they won't get any production out of Rubio for 3 years.

Also the play they'll be getting will be off the waiver wire. So who cares if they pick up Ruben patterson..that's a pretty horrible player. They're still not improving their team in tehs hort term with and unjust advantage.

Wow...typo much?

I'm open to discussing changing things, although not for this current season. This was the policy we had in place last season, and it came up regarding Krstic's status (he eventually became a FA in our league, as his GM had relinquished his rights).

Well, except it raises other logistical and administrative headaches. What's to deter me from laying claim to Josh Childress, Tiago Splitter, Boki Nachbar, etc. on the first day of free agency? None of whom are likely to be included among Yahoo's list of available players, or so via waiver.

Maybe that would be fun too, but it's not going to be straightforward. Remember Krstic's mid-season return?

Edit - Too slow. Anyway, pm me with trade talk.

Thanks, WW. This kind of abuse of the loophole is exactly one of the things I'd like to prevent. [Leave it to you to think it up so quickly . . . ]

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
I'm on board with the old system of claiming non-NBA players.  It works, and makes the league more interesting.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

It's now 10:50, and celtsrp33 is not online, nor has he sent me a list of preferences for this pick, so he gets BPA, Ricky Rubio.

wdleehi has instructed me to select BPA for him as well, so he will receive Jordan Hill.

That sucks for celtsrp33 since he worked at acquiring the high picks.  but I guess it was going to happen to someone.

Yeah, surprised he missed his pick.

With the #12 pick, I will select Terrence Williams.

I think it's a solid pick in a draft with a lot of uncertainty. Although I'm higher on Blair than most here (and took a lot of flack for drafting him in the 30 team CB Draft). His numbers project out as well as any rookie, and he'll get opportunities in S.A. where Popovich is already talking about controlling Duncan's minutes.
