It's past the deadline, I say Lucky makes the cuts for those that didn't do it yet. If they don't like it, tough.

I'd be much more inclined to (and I don't have a dog in this fight having finished 9th or so) of suspending waiver order -- i dont' see why the #1 team should get Wall or Johnson as a prize for some GMs not being active  --- and doing something like a supplemental draft for these guys (liek the NFL does)

for #1 picks that Lucky has to strip from teams, starting with the worst team from last season and moving up the final standings from 2010,  they can essentially trade their 2011 #1 pick for a 2010 drafted player that gets cut....

the question becomes does their pick just evaporate (ie there might be just 18 picks in next year's 1st round) or does it go to the team losing the Wall/Johnson/Udoh?

I'd suggest the latter -- again with the assumption that those GMs are close to losing their team to begin with.

I know that it's what the rules would call for, but John Wall really can't hit the waiver wire can he.... that seems absurd.

Invoking the "Best Interest of the League" clause would seem to be in order.... no?

I still suspect this is accurate, even though Wall isn't involved. Rewarding two of the league's top teams with lottery picks - Johnson and Udoh - doesn't strike me as the most appropriate punitive measure.

No other ideas?

I'm a lot less worried about Udoh than Wall.... Johnson also seems like a big fish to hit the wire....it's tough b/c I also agree that there do have to be consequenses to teams not following the rules.

My suggestion would be something like --- that if guys like Wall, Johnson or Udoh have to be cut, that they go into limbo. teams missing the cut deadline may be close to losing their team and I'd be in favor of a replacement owner getting the option of getting their talent back rather than being penalized for taking over an absent owners team.

Really, two teams missed the cut off?

I have first dibs on the waiver wire. Sure, Johnson would look good in the Black, Red, & Silver of the Utah Flash. However in efforts to keep the league balanced, I would suggest possibly booting the GMs, waiving second round picks for both teams, and waiving a scrub from each roster, Luther Head from one and Chris Paul from the other... jk!!! Summers or Mullins from the other.

I don't know much about eja117, but lb17 has been around for a while, is in both leagues, and is at least somewhat active. I would be ok with giving him one more chance.

P.S. Lucky, I wish I could buy u a beer... u deserve it for dealing with all this stuff! A few beers actually and maybe a few shots to. ;)

It's certainly been a rockier start. And it strikes me as odd that both signed up to the league, but in between missing the draft and missing the deadline to cut rosters down? Huh.

I'd say both GC and MK's suggestions have some merit.

Neither guy has problems with absenteeism. It sucks for the league, but I'm fine with leniency. LB17 has been around since the beginning (3 long years ago), if I recall, so he deserves a short extension if we can reach him (on the Yahoo boards might be the best way, he's posted there a few times). EJA is usually posting all the time, I'm surprised he's been unreachable.

CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

why do they have to have their rookies cut? Why can't we have Lucky cut their worst players as if it were his own team, in good faith? Anyway, if they are active gm's some leniency is well deserved.

Ah, the milk of human kindness doth overflow here. Such concern for the good of the league. Truly, I am touched.

I received LB17's cuts via email. Eja117 is the lone absentee GM.

My threats of cutting rookies is my attempt at saber-rattling folks into taking this deadline seriously. I would not consider throwing a top 10 pick back into the FA pool.

For the good of the league, I propose cutting Udoka and Head from Eja's roster. Any other nominations?

Rosters have been input into the league. You'll see your players on tomorrow's lineups.

Free agents are now on waivers for the next 3 days, to allow folks to make claims. I'll then reset waiver period to one day.

As previously discussed, waiver priority is based on last year's standings, with the winner of the league receiving the first pick, 2nd place receiving second, etc.

Yahoo! does not have Rasheed Wallace nor Ricky Rubio in its player database. Pisces owns Wallace, and I own Rubio. We both will need to keep a roster slot open for as long as we wish to keep the rights to these players. As soon as we use our 16th roster slot on another player, Wallace or Rubio becomes a free agent.

From now on, all trades will be made within the Yahoo! league. We can keep this thread open for discussion of the league, rule changes, trash talk, etc.

Any questions?

I appear to be in need of a PF.  I am willing to do just about any sort of trade, but seem to have a glut of Centers at the moment.  If anyone has an interest in Yao or Spencer Hawes, I would not be opposed to moving one for a PF (or moving other players of mine).
