MMSB sends Boris Diaw, MMSB 2011 #1 pick

What are the other GM's thoughts on this?  I didn't really want to give up Diaw - especially since I didn't get him that long ago, but I really needed a decent center and, if healthy (big if), Chandler is pretty good.

I also liked the idea of putting my team up against UY to see who will make out with the better pick.  Kind of a gamble, but it'll be fun rooting against UY all year   

I just noticed this deal. I do like Chandler for a bounce back season, but I doubt he'll offer too much fantasy value coming off the bench in Dallas. He'll need to outplay Haywood and grab the starting role. (Which is possible.) But that uncertainty plus the pick swap makes this too risky for my tastes.

You would have been better off dealing for the rights to swap picks with YH - which avoids the possibility of sending him a better pick for a less productive player. In that scenario I'd have liked this trade for the Bacon a lot more than I do now.

As it stands today, UY win this trade. Diaw is a solid 27 ppg with the Bobcats. If healthy, as a backup, TC is maybe 18-20 ppg. The rub here is that Diaw was already traded to Toronto, but that trade was bounced for some reason. His name keeps coming up in other rumors. I doubt he will be with the Cats for long. Where ever he goes, his value will surely drop.

That being said, IMO this trade is even (depending on how the #1 picks shape up) once Diaw gets traded.

May very well steal the job (back) from B.Rush who's gonna miss the first 5 games for suspension (and who i just dealt for a #1 pick). Did you know that in 8 fewer MPG than Rush, he averaged only 1.3 fantsy pts/gm less than Rush? He may also be dealt (I'd love the C's to go get him) which would boost his playing time.
