I really would like Ronald "FLIP" Murray. Scorer and veteran.

If NO, then who other than a PG?
Williams and BBD solidified the bigs I think.

Giddens isn't a PG and Lester might not even make the team. Yes, we need a back up PG. I say finish the trade for Daniels and offer Sessions the LLE for 2 years. Milwaukee won't match.

We're not going to get Daniels in a trade at this point.  If it were going to happen, it would have by now.

I don't think we need a PG, but I'd like one for insurance purposes.  Personally, I don't think any of the remaining PGs out there are likely to beat out the House/Daniels combo that will likely handle the backup 1/2 minutes here.  And while I've been an Eddie basher over the years, I can't deny that the House/Allen/Pierce/Posey/Garnett lineup worked wonders in 2008.  I don't see how a similar lineup with Wallace replacing Posey can't do the same next year.  Is Eddie a poor ball-handler?  Absolutely.  But that really only matters in the playoffs, when teams are likely to press him.  And by then, Rondo should be playing 40+ mpg, really minimizing any damage they can do against him.

We shouldn't expect Hudson to be able to come in and contribute for a contending team. I'd feel better if we brought in a PG.

I agree.  But I think the more interesting debate is whether a backup PG will contribute to our team either.  I agree that it'd be nice to have someone in case Rondo, House, or Daniels went down for a bit.  But with Rondo playing 35 mpg this season and with House and Daniels on board, will anyone still available be able to crack the C's rotation?

Or better yet, send Eddie, Tony and Scal with a future first to Golden State for the unhappy Monta Ellis. Nellie is seemingly clearing the decks there and if Jackson goes to Dallas they may as well blow it up completely for the future.

This will also give Rondo a nice backcourt partner for the future. Add them to BBD and Perk, we only need a FA SF to continue as contenders after the big three fizzle.

OK, I am confused by Giddens name being on the poll.  He makes Tony Allen look like Chris Paul.  But ultimately, no, we do not NEED another PG.  I think it would be nice to sign one for depth, but I don't think it is necessary.

I would say though, that it will likely be Hudson OR another PG, not Hudson AND another PG.  If he is signed, they will likely keep him as the emergency PG...at least until February, when they may look to upgrade if they can.

Try the hoopshype.com FA page. It aint perfect but they have most of the available FA at each position and a small write up about each.

I disagree.  I am convinced that the reason Danny is not worried about Daniels walking is because they already have a sign and trade in place with a team like Memphis or OKC where Boston sends Allen, Cash, and perhaps a pick or prospect...but they are just waiting it out to see if they can find a more favorable deal before the season.

Off the top of my head, the most interesting ones are Lue, Bobby Jackson, Arroyo, and Marbury.

If we are going to add a pg, I would prefer to do it this summer, as opposed to 3/4 through the season like we do every year.  Murray or Sessions would be nice if we could afford them.

Flip Murray and Bobby Jackson are the two that would interest me.

Which is why I think they are OK for the time being.  House and Daniels can hold down the fort.
