For those CBloggers and other Cs fans out there that despise Doc's small ball lineups, you'll probably be happy with its disappearance during this coming season. Why will Doc stop playing small ball? Simple - Rasheed Wallace. In the past Doc has been forced to go with a smaller lineup  late in games when he's felt the need for shooting. This year when he needs shooting, Rasheed Wallace will be the man that's called upon to play with either the other 4 starters or the big three and House. Am I right?

Right you are!  I can't wait to see us finishing games with KG, Sheed, Paul, Ray and Rondo.  Rondo will have 4 proven clutch scorers to choose from when passing the ball.  And they can all knock down free throws as well. Size wins championships!

I could still see Doc running an Eddie House, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Rasheed Wallace and either Rajon Rondo or Marquis Daniels lineup out there if the team falls back by 20 points or so early on in the second half. Four bombs away guys, two slashers, four guys that can run the floor, all plus defenders and four good defensive rebounders. Small ball could still live on only we probably won't see it that often.

There was little to no small ball last year. Unless you think a Baby-Powe lineup is small ball, and that had more to do with injuries and roster limitations.

Doc's going to play Rondo/House/Daniels/Pierce/Rasheed just to spite you. I don't think it's ever safe to say Doc won't play smallball.

Yeah, I would call that small ball.  2 undersized PFs playing PF and C.

My point is that any roster limitations we've had over the past couple years that made small ball an attractive option no longer exist.
