Figured this was important enough to bring this thread back, great news. If he is even close to what he was they will have one the best best LB cores in the country.

Quote
BOSTON -- Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich is back on the practice field for the first time since leaving the team to undergo cancer treatment.

Herzlich led part of the captain's practice on Thursday in the bubble-covered field at Alumni Stadium.

The BC linebacker was the Atlantic Coast Conference defensive player of the year in 2008. He was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer, the next spring.

He missed all of last season.

That's incredible.  I always had the wishful thinking but given what he was diagnosed with, there was a distinct possibility that he wouldn't see the field again.

If he's back and playing near the level he was before, you're right, they'll have one of the best LB corps in the country.

(They still need a quarterback, though)

Saw him at a bar the other night (with some of the hottest girls BC has to offer), he's still a monster and I expect him to dominate when the football season rolls around.

CB Draft: Memphis Grizz

Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Shinskie is garbage, but i expect him to atleast start the season as the starter. Espn has Chase Rettig as the 10th best QB recruit in the country and he is already on campus practicing with the team. He has the size, the arm, and is supposedly a good leader but they say he is raw and will need some time.

So yeah, will have to deal with Shinskie for some more im guessing. Good thing they are good at the skills positions, got Harris/Finch at RB, and Larmond/Phillips/Pantale at WR/TE. Wont matter if the QB cant get the ball to them though.

Yeah, I pretty much stopped watching the Eagles halfway through the season because I got sick of seeing Shinksie out there.  I was very surprised to find myself longing for Chris Crane.
