the Paula Dean Burger: Regular burger with a fried egg on top and bacon between two Krispy Kremes.

I thought that was called the "Luther Burger" after Luther Vandross.

To me, this looks absolutely terrible, but then again I could never get into those "griddle cake" things at McDonald's, either.

The Krispy Kreme thing looks horrible.

But I thought the McGriddle sounded bad too, and it turned out being way better than I ever thought it could.

I have two things to add to this thread.

1) http://thisiswhyyourefat.com/   Some of the things on this website make me want to never eat again.

2) Burger King goes bad ... available only in Singapore.  :)

Apparently, KFC original recipe isn't greasy and fatty enough so they have to create a sandwich which eliminates bread but incorporates one of the fattiest dairy products in mayonnaise and a bunch of pig fat in bacon.

Is there any truth to the rumor that the sandwich is so greasy teenagers who ate it started breaking out in acne on their fingers shortly after handling the "sandwich"?

In fairness to mayonnaise, it is not a dairy product (though often mistaken for one).

The only beef I have with this so-called sandwich is that I simply do not accept the use of the term 'sandwich' unless it refers to a culinary offering containing a filling which rests between 2 slices of a bread product.  Therefore, an 'open-faced sandwich' is a misnomer as is this KFC chicken contraption.  This 'sandwich' is simply better eaten with a knife and fork, providing none of the simplicity and purity of a true sandwich.

The Paula Dean Burger loosely qualifies as a sandwich, however, the primary point of using bread product is to protect the eater's hands from the mess of the filling -- while providing a convenient method for consumption.  The Dean Burger provides a bread-like covering (doughnuts) but is messy and sticky, providing none of the essential hand protection.  I would very reluctantly refer to it as a sandwich.

This reminds me of the [above], which is a McChicken inside of a double cheeseburger.

This thread would get my vote for "Most Un-appetizing Food Thread Of The Year" ... seriously, there's nothing here that looks remotely worth eating, (or even tasting) ... some great "artery bombs" though! ;)

This is why the terrorists hate us.

or....

if the US could just get its enemies to consume a few of these babies they would promptly keel over with cardiac arrest and clogged blood vessels.

sigh..another sign that the end of the empire is near.

also, i cant yet figure out how to upload images onto cb (heck, i still think redial on phones is cool).. but here are pix of a sando place in pittsburgh where they save you time and simply put your french fries IN your sando.   :P

the restaurant is the primanti bros and is quite famous around here. folks in pittsburgh seem to prefer quantity to quality.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
