Since Danny wants to play House at the point, and assuming that we finally sign Marquis by a sign & trade and we play him at the 3, we would have the roster spot to sign Head. Our bench needs more shooters, and Head is a great one. He didn't play much last year (22 games with Houston, 10 with the Heat), I don't know if it was due to injuries, and his shooting percentage dropped a little bit (37% from 2, 37% from 3 in 10 games with Miami but a career average of 42% from 2 and 39% from 3).

I thought he would get a nice contract this summer and that we wouldn't be have the chance to sign him but he is still a free agent and no team has picked him. Maybe there's a reason but I think that our team would be really stacked with the following rotation :

Rondo/House
Ray/Head
Pierce/Daniels
KG/BBD/Shelden/Scal?
Perk/Sheed

Miami won't try to sign Head since they already have Cook and that they don't want to sign long term contracts.

So, what do you think? If you know more about Head, feel free to drop your comments on him, but I think he would be a great fit, though I'm not sure he would come for what we have to offer him (the LLE if we acquire Marquis by S&T and if I'm not mistaken).

He a small guard still. I'm sure the goal here is to get a large 6'6 guard that can play SF too. I like LutherHead, but not with Eddie too.
Can't stop, Rondo!

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...

He's House with more pointguard skills, we don't need another House.

I'd swap them if I could though.

Kind of an Eddie House wannabe--no real role for him with the C's.  Good shooter, poor point, fair defender, a small 2.

With Marquis and Bill/JR backing up PP and Ray what we need is a true PG for insurance.

Um, yeah, I didn't look at his size, my bad... I understand now why he doesn't appeal much any team. We don't need another size-limited guard but still, it would be nice to add a shooter to our bench.
