I can't believe those in their 40's in Boston haven't mentioned probably the most played with stuff during their youth. Hockey gloves, a street hockey ball and a hockey stick. If you weren't playing street hockey during the time of the Big Bad bruins, Orr, Espo, Cheevers, Bucyk, and the like, your were just not cool.

My brother [dang] near losing his eye playing street hockey pretty much ruled out me playing street hockey without full body armor.  He seriously was really lucky - one of the grossest things I ever saw.

No knock on street hockey, just my excuse for not playing (over my mom's dead body)

I had a huge collection of action figures. I loved wrestling, but never liked the rubber wrestlers. So instead of playing with those, I ended up using Batman, Flash, Silver Surfer, etc. Still got em all too.

Legos were big with me too when I was younger. Somehow inherited my uncles old set and added to that through the years, making my own space ships and stuff.

He-Man guys were first and foremost.  I was obsessed with them.  I had a collection of other stuff.  GI Joes, Transformers, and Star Wars action figures were all battling out for a distant second place.  I always went with my Gramma to rummage sales when I was a tyke, so I accumulated a lot of random action figures that to this day I have no idea what they were.  One was a really tall bearded dude with antennae.  Poor guy got his antennae cut off and was forced to mingle with the He-Man crowd.
