Yep, these are pogs. I don't know, I never asked myself at the time why it was fun but everybody was playing it in school so I did too and I enjoyed it. There was also people who collected them like stickers with Panini albums.

I was a little kid right at the stage where a lot of classic toys that had traditionally been wooden, were starting to be made in plastic.  Hence, a lot of my older siblings hand me down toys were wooden and mine were plastic.

I was a lego maniac...

Nintendo was also big on the reasons my brother and I still don't get along list (lots of fights over nintendo)

but I made some epic lego creations - we made a town that my hamster played in, it was awesome

He-man, NES...can't believe I haven't seen anyone mention "superfriends" aka superman, spidey, batman...also surprised I haven't seen anyone mention thundercats!! all of those were real big to me in the 80's, early early 90's.

Muscle Men!  Someone gave me like 50 of them for my birthday; we used to stage elaborate Royal Rumbles with em.

Transformers, Star Wars, He-Man stuff...my old Voltron is still intact and now guards my office windowsill.  Lots of Nintendo games too - last month my Xbox broke down, I swapped in my NES and SNES and both still worked great - blowing on the old games was a little nostalgic too. 

I never played with Pogs but I definitely injured at least two people during our Snap Bracelet battle tournaments...those things were deadly.  :)

Host them in imageshack.us  This often happens when hotlinking to other sites, which is good practice.
