He says half way through that he'll play for free, but he doesn't want to be on the bench...As in he wants to start, or he wants more minutes? If he wants to start...too [dang] bad. If he wants to be that backup PG/SG, then sign him PLEASE. I don't care what craziness he shows online, b/c I bet half our favorite players are similar to him in more ways than one. Bring back Starbury.

I have a feeling Danny would like to free up to 3 roster spots to make room for:

1. Vet PG (Iverson, JWill for example)
2. Bruce Bowen
3. RObert Swift

Right now I believe Danny wants to keep this core of 9 rotation players:

Starting line-up (5):

Rondo, Ray, Pierce, KG, Perk

Bench rotation (4):

Sheed, Marquis, Eddie, Baby

Other keepers (3):

Shelden Williams and Brian Scalabrine (Frontcourt help)
Bill Walker (Wing defender and energy player- making Tony expendable)

Now, that leaves us with the 2 expendable players plus the open roster spot:

1. Tony Allen: Danny is trying to make him leave in the S/T with Indy
2. JR: Another piece in that S/T?
3. The spot for Hudson won't likely be filled by the rook, unless a 3rd PG doesn't finally gets signed by the team

I feel the team needs:

1. A third string PG to send either Shelden or Scal to the inactive list
2. Another wing defender in case the Walker experiment doesn't work of if Danny needs him for that S/T with Indy for Daniels
3. An open spot for a project that will go to his long time "project in mind" Robert Swift.

Interesting to hear that Doc had to take him aside and tell him to quit being a distraction to Rondo, after which Starbury apologized.  I wonder what that was all about.

I really have no problem with 'Bury on our team, I feel he can be useful once he settles in, with the minutes and his role.
Tony...well I'm 50-50 about his status, but if he has to go in order to bring Daniels...Where do I sign?
And for last, I would like to know what kind of a player JRG and Billy can actually be, 'cause, we are an old team, and it' seams we need that young guys who want to prove themselves.
Anyway I have full confidence in Danny the ownership and Doc...

It looks like Marquis will come for the LLe for one year. Too bad, at least we tried. That leaves another spot, and I can guarantee that it is not going to Bowen. Either Marbury or Swift (the two players most likely to be signed). If we can move one or two players in the S/T deal (or another deal), we could sign Steph as well as Swift. And I think this is what Danny is aiming for.

Disgusting. Robert Swift is garbage. The guy couldn't stay healthy, and can't get a contract with the THUNDER! Why would we want damaged talentless goods. Signing Robert Swift will limit Scal's minutes, which is WRONG. If we sign a Swift, let it be Stromile. And YES, again I say SIGN MARBURY.. Can Mikki Moore be used in a sign and trade with Tony for Marquis?
