Listed by there true position and without hudson or daneils.

I agree with alot of people with the big glaring hole of a backup PG. I dont like House playing the point

I would like to finish up before the start of the season but it may not happen. I would like to pick up daniels for sure, bruce bowen, bobby jackson, and robert swift (yes robert swift) while being able to ditch tony allen and jr giddens. I like bill walker and scal.

So my off season finish would look like this.

Still listed by true position but that is one heck of a rotation with alot of bigs, and lot of diverse players able to play 1 position down or up from there own.

Most GMS prefer to leave 1 spot open through out the season. We wouldnt have to do that with the expiring contract of scal and the possiblity in walker if the right deal came along.

I'm also not against williams, carter, or marbury as PG. Marbury was my #1 choice not sure if he still is lol.

I think Swift has ability and can learn alot under our bigs

Thanks. I understand alot of people like giddens. I just get frustrated with his slow development. Maybe I could say the same for swift or walker? Is it doc that holds them back more than themselves?

I agree with Roy though, I'd decline Robert Swift I think he is useless. JR Giddens is at least an unknown quantity that someone may take a gamble on.

I too would take a pass on Swift.  I know Danny has a man crush there as it has been termed here, but our size is set.  Let's make sure the wings and point positions are deeper and we're good.

I would like a vet PG to complete the roster. Other than that I think Tony Allen is redundant here, and I wonder if Giddens will get any minutes here. It would be nice to trade one of them and get to sign Bowen for some defense off the bench

Danny seems to have hinted that Daniels might get some minutes at the backup point. I'm honestly not too worried about it - if we're going to be undermanned at any position, at least it's not a position of our aging players. Rondo can handle a hefty minute load if he needs to.

DA's also suggesting that Tony could have some time handling the ball (eek!). The problem is that Tony needs heavy minutes to be effective, and when the ball is in that guy's hands, no one, not even Tony, knows where it's going. I'm with you, I wish we could get rid of him, hopefully he'll have some value as an expiring contract at the trade deadline. I think Bill Walker can and will be a Tony Allen with a higher IQ and fewer off-court issues. The kid has shown a lot of good work ethic and good citizenship  summer, and if he can get a few minutes in the rotation this year, I think he can contribute.

I'd pass on swift, personally. It's unlikely he'd get any minutes since we already have 6 bigs, I just don't think we need him.

slow development? he was a rookie last year on a veteran team...

he did fine in the NBDL last year - is he ready for the big time, I'm not sure

remember what happened when we got frustrated with Chauncy Billups' slow development...

but nice first post regardless... I think it is a good idea to keep some young players. The experience they get in practice must be unbelievable - can you imagine guarding KG or Paul Pierce or Ray Allen day in and day out - it'd be bound to make you a better player in the long run

we could just bring him to the convenience store and say we'll be right back, we forgot our wallet in the car, then peel out of that place... he'd still be waiting by the time his contract is up

Trade Tony Allen and Brian Scalabrine for a good backup 3 or point. For 3s, I'd love to get Nocioni or Posey, doesn't even have to be that good if the contract isn't so long term. Then sign Daniels to the LLE, Hudson, and a minimum player at the 3 or 1. Bowen, Udoka, Bobby Jackson would be great, I'd be fine with J. Williams.
