Walker and Giddens seem to be in Danny's plans for atleast the immediate future.

Giddens has seemed to impress atleast Danny during SL.

Walker at 21 is too good of a prospect to just cut.

you may be correct, but i dont see him as "too good" to cut. i have not seen him play much, just scrub minutes in the season, videos, etc.

please, what specifically do you see that makes him so good?

judging from what posters here say, walker has athleticism and a wonderful dunk. but his shooting seems poor, he has trouble mentally digesting team defenses, and he is not a great passer.

experience may solve some of these, but almost no one seems to be saying he has a great future in the nba.

the celtics have drafted a number of guys with great athleticism and not much else. is walker about to join that group? i dont know. but i do not see much that convinces him he doesnt belong among them.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I doubt we'll be able to get a legit backup point right now.  We might be able to get someone at the trade deadline from a noncontender.  And we'll have the expiring deals of TA, Scalabrine, etc. to do it with.  So for now TA and Scal go nowhere, even if all they do is sit on the pine.

I agree that we have too many guys who do the same thing but none stand out.
To me Daniels has the edge that he can play 3 spots.  Tony has played himself out of boston but seems like there are no takers out there.  I do think that giddens and walker have to prove that they can help more than tony (hard to believe).  My thought is one or two guys (not daniels) is gone in a trade etc.  We do need a backup for PP and from the list I'd say daniels is #1 and Walker is #2.  I like walkers toughness and defense. He gave (soft) McGrady fits in preseason last year when he got some time.   I stated this in another thread and someone came back with the idea that he fouls all the time.  Think of Perk his rookie year, he was called for a foul when he stepped on the court.  I'm wondering if the giddens has the edge news is propaganda Ainge is putting out there ala telfair, welsch etc??

Atheleticism, NBA ready body, Work ethic, and Offensive awareness.

You don't cut players like that you trade them for something usueful.

...Prospects are all about potential.
