We can move TA and Scals, along with either Walker or JR at the deadline for a quality player or players.

PG-Rondo/Williams/
2G-Ray/House/TA/JR
SF-Pierce/Daniels/Walker
PF-KG/Sheed/Scal
C -Perk/BBD/Shelden.

That 15. Maybe there is a trade for TA and JR/Walker, Scal still out there. Who will that net? Will we sign Bowen or will DA wait until the trade deadline to maximize what he can get for the expiring contracts?

Should be an interesting couple of weeks.

I hear John Stockton is still available, though. Why exactly do we want someone who couldn't even stick with the mighty Knicks?

Because there a crappy team thats trying to get good players and make the playoffs, we're a championship contending team that has our main pieces but need cheaper role players to fill out the roster. I almost want him more becuase the Knicks don't want him.

If healthy the C's could do much worse than Jason Williams as 3rd PG but, I have a feeling they'll be leaving that roster spot open.

Plus what would people have to worry about?  Backup PG sounds like a good source of heavy concern.

We are a team the thrives on & prides itself on our defense -- has anyone ever used JWill and good defender in the same sentence?

You just did :). However to more seriously answer your question I don't think Eddie House or stephon marbury were ever viewed as defensive stoppers. Is Williams really worse then those guys?

Well I am glad to be the first.  But you are right Marbury proved defense is as much effort as reputation and when your minutes depend on your defense you work at defense.  Eddie isn't really a bad defender he just is overmatched by too many other points.  With all that JWill seems a possibility but not  IMO an obvious choice  for how the Celtic's play

He's so washed up by now it wouldn't take a good defender to keep him shooting in the 30% range.

How's that?

Now that we have 5 solid bigs, I'm all for a move of TA, Scal and maybe one of the two young wings for a better backup 3, giving us a second five of House, Daniels, the small forward we trade for, Davis and Wallace.  Then we'd have two roster spaces, and I'd love to use one to pick up White Chocolate as an emergency point guard and the other for an extra big man or perimeter defender (you can't have too many of either. Well, except Tony Allen and Mikki Moore).
Go Celtics.

It's based on the fact he is a career .396% shooter.

If we can dump a player or two in obtaining Daniels, I'd take a flier on him.  I personally think that for the first time in two years we're in a position to let House play the backup 1, so I wouldn't be afraid of Williams failing.  But right now I'd like Bowen here too, and I don't particularly want to see that go out the door.

I think the C's still need to sign a vet PG that is capable of starting in case Rondo goes down with an injury. I doubt Lester Hudson will do, so I'm open to the possibility of J-Will or Starbury.

Just curious is that his adjusted FG %? Because 40% isn't bad for a regualr shooting percentage of a guy who hits a lot of threes.

just for the record i really really think is a stupid thing to do, to continue looking for backup PGs mid season.
A PG SHOULD be in your roster from the beginning of training camp.
Once a CrotorNat always a CROTORNAT  2 times CB draft Champion 2009-2012

Nice to be back!
