As for my ECF playoff teams I see the following teams in the mix

Toronto
Boston
Phladelphia
Chicago
Cleveland
Detroit
Orlando
Washington

With New Jersey, and Atlanta possibly having an outside shot.

What order those teams end up are debatable.

Regarding Przybilla, his injuries occurred because his injuries occurred. The amount of minutes he played had little to do with that. Bench players that play 10 MPG get hurt. Minutes played has no correlation as to frequency of injury in my mind. What I see is a player that can and has started games in his career and very often plays 30 plus minutes and does it well. Until he shows he can't do it or gets injured, the point is moot. Joel is our starting Center and will be playing 30 minutes of more nightly.

You say "until he shows he can't do it", but I think he HAS been showing he can't do it. He's almost 30, and he's been in the league 10 years and never played more than 25 mins per game, even though he's started the majority of the games he's played in the last 5 years. That has to be somewhat of a warning flag, right?

Also, regarding Jackson at the 2. I find Don Nelson to be a strange coach in his use of his players and where he positions them. Jackson played SG at for a good portion of his career and is still more than capable. I also have my doubts regarding the 82games.com percentage of position played charts and their 100% accuracy. I think Stephen Jackson has not "lost a step" and is as athletically gifted now as he was 4-5 years ago. Again, opposing SG's might have to worry more about how they match up on a guy that is several inches taller than they are and even longer than that yet just as athletic as they are.

These things work both ways

regarding 82games.com...what makes you think their numbers are false?

Well I think DC is at least very competitive with NJ and better than NY.  I Definitly think they are a playoff team

How do you say that when 4 of the 5 starters are better on NY (with the 4th being debatable is Kristic regains his NJ form)

Except NY's players have delivered on playoff teams.

Even the bench is probably stronger (with two likely real NBA starters)

And NJ is loaded with playoff winning players that fill rolls.

DC, I am sorry to say, is offensively built around two guys that pad their score totals on bad teams, the top backup C in the league, a shooting PF that has motivational problems, and a PG that has had one good season on a bad team.

DC

After looking at the depth in the other two divisions, are you a playoff team?

I think all the East teams are better.  I think Chi and Det are better.  I could be persuaded on the 8th spot by a few teams.

Where do you see your team matched up?
By DC do you mean the Boxers or was that a typo for GC?

DC Boxers

Disagree about Sessions, he's had one season with amazing per minute numbers and one season where the minutes grew but the per minutes did not. That's generally the standard for judgement.

Also disagree about Pryzbilla. He starts more than he sits. My bigger worry and what I was trying to get out of nick was how does Darko and Dan (catchy..right?) fit into this? He'll run Pryzbilla into the ground if he gives him 30 a night.

Because NY was an absentee owner.  I dont think there are many GM's that arent going to vote him last in the Atlantic

He made his picks.  He just hasn't had access.

His team is still better then the Boxers.  And that's the topic at hand.  Comparing the teams as listed.

I dunno Nick has made a convincing argument to me on his players, I havent heard anything about players on the NY front.  I just disagree for the purpose of this excersize that NY will be in the playoffs ahead of DC.  Which is why im defending Nick, you said he might be an 8 seed because you saw Chitown, Detroit orlando and the atlantic ahead of him.

I think he deserves to be in the playoffs alot more than NY.  And im not trying to attack Ny or anything its just my view on the situation that if an GM did not participate in press conferences or answer any questions other GMs have about their team they should not be voted in infront of GM's who have taken the time to be an active member of this league.  Again I dont mean to be disrespectfull to NY's GM I just would rather give my vote to somebody that actively participated in the game.

Again, he made his picks like everyone else.  And if you look at how his team is put together, he did take time to put it together.

Unlike everyone else, he lost his internet option at home and at work.

I just don't get the point of ignoring one team.  I mean if your team was weaker, I might understand.

But when comparing them, the team is right there for you to see.

AP Guantanamo -

The Cuba Heat will be posting their press conference at some point this evening.  Due to their GM's busy schedule, they still need time to work on the details.

I agree that I think Washington will barely make the 8th seed if at all.  I also agree that all the teams in the Atlantic, Chi, Det, Cle, and Orl are better.  I really don't see much production coming from Washington in competing with all those other teams.

Orlando

any consideration to starting Varejo.  Looks like your 2nd unit will have some problems scoring...however you'll probably have J Rich or Bron on the court always.

i think your team is real solid.
