I haven't used Paypal in over a year. I go to Ebay, and the seller requires Paypal. So I access my acct, and see that I had 5 dollars credit in there. Must have been from previous purchases from those "Ghost fees". So I select to transfer that into my bank acct. Then I proceed to purchase my item of ebay, and it requires that Paypal charge my acct the ghost fee again. Check my bank acct and pay pal charges me 1.95 and 1.00 3 times. Try to login to paypal, INTERNAL ERROR message. Call Paypal, and they repeat my questions to me, and tell me to call back later. Worthless!!!

Any help please? I just wanna know if when my ebay transaction will go through, and do I get my ghost fees back by transferring the balance again from pp to bank acct?
Can't stop, Rondo!

I dropped them over a year ago, horrible mess they have.  Look to google checkout, of course ebay won't let you post that you accept it (they own paypal) but so much easier (and cheaper)

Oh, let me tell you about my experience with Paypal TODAY!  I have a small business my father and I recently started up.  We sell high quality brass guitar components.

Anyway, we were due a refund of about $250 from a purchase we made on a PayPal debit card and later returned last week.  As of this morn it still hadn't shown up on our account, so we decided to give them a call to see whats up.  Bad idea.  I couldn't hardly understand anything the guy said, finally he put me on hold to talk to a manager - for 45 minutes.  The "manager" came on and I couldn't understand him either - Where are these people?  India?  So, he had me log into my paypal account to get some info and I now get an internal error screen.  I thought it may be my wireless connection or something so I went inside to the desktop - same deal.  He had no answers for me at all except that they were having "problems" right now.  He did say that maybe my refunf would be there in the next couple days....Thanks PayPal - you stink.  Your customer service stinks and your fees are way too high.  The worst part is that a small business like us doesn't have a choice but to use them - whereas we use ebay as well.  Just terrible...

Was the refund initiated by the person you made the purchase from?

I've used the PayPal Debit Card for years for my biz.  I love the 1.5% cash back on all purchases, and they used to have a really decent Money Market rate.

Their customer service does suck though.

Good luck.
Yup

Wasn't there a big issue with paypal a couple of days ago?  I swear I heard something on the radio about something going wrong, which was causing them to take the site down for a few hours a couple of days ago.  Maybe some of this stuff is related?

I don't have anything against PayPal necessarily, but I never use it. But what's up with eBay? Who actually uses that anymore? I quit using eBay years and years ago. It's clunky, worn out, and you can't find deals anymore - at least not for the stuff I wanna buy.
