But this means that no trade has been agreed upon and we will have to wait another months or so for the Daniels/BBD situation.

No, I think he'll be signed for the LLE next week at the latest.

BBD could still take a while though.

How many open roster spots do we currently have?
5-Perk/Sheed
4-KG/Scal
3-Pierce/Daniels/Walker
2-Ray/T.Allen/Giddens
1-Rondo/House

so by my count we have three roster spots, 2 if we can sign baby.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I wonder if Hudson will have a chance to make the roster.  Bring back Powe as the 15th guy!

Agreed and agreed. I think everyone around the league was waiting out the aug 1st waiver deadline before going forward with a number of small moves.

And then the Davis situation could go for another month...  :( ...I figured after a sobering month he and his agent would come around.

Unless Hudson REALLY impresses Ainge before preseason starts, then I'd expect him to be asked to play in Europe for awhile. As for Powe, I just read that Cleveland is offering him something that that Boston/Ainge is giving up on him despite Rivers vouching for him.
Can't stop, Rondo!

Even rather than going to Europe, can he just be a straight up signing for our NBDL affiliate and we retain his rights until a later time?  Isn't that what its for?  I think he'd be a great fit in the NBDL for a year.

I love this team. Sad to see him go but I won't care by next year.

Couldn't care less. Lets go get J.Will and win a championship.

BUT i think that Hudson will get a chance to earn the spot in training camp. I think he'll impress some people.

Good. I say give Hudson a chance. It can't hurt more than keeping Gabe around for two years.
